Pull the card out and tighten up the screws. I'd just loosen them up a bit even the 4 around the chip. And once all are loose start in the center and work your way outward till all tight. I changed my Tim and couldn't believe how loose they all were. Both cards are going in for rma as the other card's fan blade flew off and when I talked to msi they said its not a problem if you change coolers or what ever but just to make sure its all factory when returned.

For me to order new fans its just going to be cheaper to just rma them and when they call after seeing the broken blades they will charge $55 per card and send out new ones. Broken blades are not under warranty and considered mid handling.

Kinda pisses me off when I know I didn't stick anything into the fan for it to break.. Its just cheap freaking plastic they use.. At 100%,fan speen the blade flew off and nailed me in the leg. And I was like wtf!!!
Shitty deal but if the replacements don't hold up I'll send them back and re sell the next batch and move onto a different vendor..

And whatever you do don't change the Tim. I've tried different Tim jobs and none come close to.the Tim msi use.. My idle went from low 30's to now 39-42c and running heaven 4.0 under max settings and just using the tiny msi app and run it at oc mode top card hits 94c.. Bottom 87c.

@fullinfusion yes I've tightened them the first time I saw it was bent, it seems like it didnt make much difference as it still looks the same way...
As you look closely to the last fin stack that cools vrms, youll see the the whole thing is bent...
I mean, who the hell would do that...

Hell if I know with is up with that.. Rma time.. Seems the top plate is twisted.. How's the temps?

Are your power cables pushing down on the card?
Mine are nice and straight but mine has the fan issues. I can't believe when I called msi to ask for replacement fans or a new shroud with fans even to buy and they said no.. Only the factory has those parts and I know that's bull shit.
Look at corsair, they have parts available to buy and I know apples and oranges but really?? Wtf is up with that.. They want $55 a card to IMO just to toss it in the garbage and issue the customer a new one.

I wish I'd have taken a picture of the fan blade that flew off and you could see it was a bad batch of plastic.. It was all porous and not solid looking and both broke at the hub.. I used my epoxy and but it together and you know what's real sad? The fan don't have a wobble to it anymore. If you lay the gpu flat and use a little of air to spin the fan and look at the side the fan should spin without going up n down.. Its like the mold wasn't true when they made these fans..
I'm still waiting on @neliz to get back off his trip to hear what he thinks about all this as I know he has ppl he can got.to in the thermal department.

I thought I'd make a fun club house but seems more of a pain in the ass tbh and should be called the gaming troubled house.

They say 5-15 days once they receive the rma before you hear back on it but I'm in Canada and need to ship it out to Ontario... Then what do they send it down to the states? It could be a dam month or more before getting g a card back that's why I'm only sending one at a time till I know what the 1st turn around time will be.

This has no effect on temps as they're still in the margins of being normal. I've put the cables so that they wont pull my card down, but i don't think they were doing that in the first place...
The fans are still leaking oil, but not as much anymore, cause i think it gets to the point where it will run out of it completely...
I live in UK, so i don't think the RMA process is worth while, I'll just probably get my tools out whenever it will start giving me problems. I had problematic cards before, but none of em were that problematic that i couldnt fix em myself (knock on wood), had rattling fans as well, on my HD5770, but a bit of oil fixed the issue. :)

Not really, cause that wire has no force on them, its just hanging there, and it hasnt been like that before, cause i bought a hard drive recently, and the card was in this condition way before that.

are you mounting screws especially the top one in the case loose?

I just loosened my top screw and the card drooped.. I lifted it and tightened it back up and its straight as an arrow.

A week ago id said go for the sapphire card but now sense i got these issues fixed I'm standing firm on the gamer card.

But,,, I repost after I find out if the vendor I bought these cards from are going to replace the one that had a broken blade and see how the memory clocks vs these.

Na a 295x2 would look nice in your case!

Fucking pisses me off AMD brought it out a month after I spent over a grand on these cards.
If the timing was right Id have had the x2 card as I've always had single dual gpus in the past.

No way! Your 2x 290 Gaming Crossfire is baller, and I bet it'll be better than a 295x2. :respect:

Morning guys.
I need some help.
Last night i was playing Metro 2033 and noticed that the core clock fluctuates with occasional drops to 870 mHz. My first thought was 14.xx are still betas, so i rolled back to 13.12 WHQL. Unfortunately i had no luck, it keeps fluctuating, not so heavily as it did on 14.3 but...
Catalyst 13.12 Metro 2033

FPS is pretty good, but microstuttering is present.
Also i got occasional few seconds hiccups in BF4 mantle (usually it happens once a few days) with core clock drops to 300 MHz.
Wonder if it's hardware or software problem

ps sorry for my English

Core temperature is fine.
VRM1 temperature is not, it's hot as hell ~110-115C under heavy load. MSI forgot to put thermal pads on mosfets. RMAing this card would be a pain, since i bought it in Germany.

I just ran a few benchmarks and the hottest VRM temp was 50c
Can you order some pads where you live?

Tried to run Metro 2033 using a custom RadeonPro profile with ticked "always use highest performance clocks while gaming" It does help to keep the core clock at 1030 mHz, but microsttutering is still present.
