mw keeps crashing

Power supply is sold as a 600 watt unit, but it only provides 29 amps (348 watts) on 12 volt and limits its self to 140 watts on +5V and +3.3V which gives it a capacity of 488 watts! OP, you may have just bought this PSU, but it is an over rated OLD design. (when I say old design, think early '90's automobile) It proudly displays ATX 12V 2,0, which was approved in 2003. We're up to ATX12V v2.4 which was approved in 2013.

If you look at that CX650M, it provides 54 Amps on its 12V rail, which is 648 watts!

Do I think it's the PSU's fault? Maybe. You have a collection of parts that are getting long on the tooth and it makes it hard to figure out what's causing this problem.

After you install the latest drivers...., if that doesn't fix it, lets look at your GPU. What is the exact model? I just looked at the review of the Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming 4, which can pull 204 watts or 17 amps during gaming which is more power than your 12V2 can provide.

Cwts are average on design as well which is fine for most users, but yes this psu is pretty old and really meant for cards that were like gtx 950/960...

Im using a gtx 980 evga acx 2.0 superclocked

And i am tryimg to play warzone and not the original mw

And it only crashes onwarzone i play forntite max settings wothout problem and even battle field max settings its just warzon

Then it's a software problem.

That's what it sounds like to me, too.

So if that is the case, then you need to wait for the developer to squash the bug if it's part of the game or Nvidia to squash the bug if it's caused by their drivers.....or it could be an accumulation of issues from the developer and Nvidia causing the crash to desktop. Which means, you're at the mercy of the companies to fix it and send out a patch and/or an updated driver.

I'm pretty sure MW has a crashing issue in warzone at least. I know if tab out while in full screen mode it crashes for sure currently.

This isn't the only problem he is having from previous threads he created.

hey guys thankfully mw had a new update and fixed the bug thank you guys for the help

I would suggest you try the Game maker forums if you ever have a specific game crashing and others are not, any problems with software refer to the software maker.

hey guys quick question

if I where to upgrade my CPU from an i7 920 to a ryzen 5 3600 would there be a bottleneck when I pair it with my gtx 980 acx 2.0 superclocked

If I were you @PandaH05 I would buy a new gpu if and when you upgrade your cpu. At minimum go with a 5700xt or gtx1660ti Do a whole new system and be done with it, sell the old one to help pay for new

Don't know if relative but I just swapped a identical platform to Ryzen and the issue is gone.
