Title says it all. I used to be pretty fond of PC Tools' Registry Mechanic, but it's telling me that there's 70 high priority errors in my registry that it won't fix. (irritating)
I prefer a free program, I at least need a trial period because I'm not going to buy something without testing it first.

CC Cleaner or Windows Live Care Safety Scanner (the second being Microsoft Approved... if anyone knows how to mess with the Registry, hopefully its them)

Found one, thanks guys.

i always use Ccleaner has always worked fine for me :toast: what one did you find?

Ccleaner was the winner, it seemed to grab some more errors than Registry Mechanic ever did.

Yeah, I like it so far. I've used it here and there for uninstalling programs, but I've never used the registry stuff because I had been using Reg Mechanic, but all of the sudden Reg Mechanic started leaving things behind and flagging them as high priority. I was getting pissed off by it.

i use 3: ccleaner, regscrubXP and registry booster 2 (that last one is not free). And auslogics registry defrag for registry

Regseeker, Pagedefrag, JKdefrag with NTRegopt.

CCleaner is good for temp files and such, but Regseeker always finds more registry entries for me.

I use RegSupreme Pro + PerfectDisk 8. Both are not free.
