Need a new Gfx card to play BF3 smoothly!

after 2 weeks of painfull tweaking Sessions with BF3 and a Q9300@3.0GHZ , i got now really playable Results with a Sapphire HD6950 2GB Toxic Card (no Shaders unlocked) at Ultra Settings .

my final conclusion tweaking this Game :

BF3 needs a CPU (i switched back to an Q6600@3.4GHZ) that hits the 3.2GHZ barrier to run the Game with a HD6950 at Ultra Settings , maybe the bigger Cache are do "this" important difference .

if somebody have a conclusive explanation why the Q9300 performs so bad please tell me

finaly i play BF3 @Ultra Settings in 1080p with solid 45FPS+ with follwing Rig :

GA-EP35-DS3 - Q6600@3.4GHZ - 378*9 @Scyte Kabuto, 8GB - OCZ - DDR2-6400 RAM , HD6950 @910/5300 , WD Caviar Black 1TB - 64MB @SATA2 - BQ500Watt SP - Win7 x64 Ultimate + No Paging File

i promise every Setting are maxed out and the resolution is 1080p ^^

:D

from what you have said.... and I am seeing, BF3 must be CPU Cache intensive, when you compare the Q6600 against the Q9300, apart from the obvious, the Q6600 has 8MB versus the 6MB on the Q9300, any other factor apart from that should rank in the 9300's favour so that must be it.
