From what I see, the red and black have 5yr limited warranties, the blue doesn't and is listed as a "silencer" model.

Still not sure what the difference is with the silencer series, but probably a nice psu. I still think they are just higher priced corsair guts though...

I'm not entirely sure either but I'm just going with my gut on this I guess. That seller hasn't registered it and has agreed to send me a printed copy of the newegg invoice so I can register it.

edit: yeah, I just bought it, but ya'll should take a look, there's still 23 left!

the reasoning behind that is that the fan for the pc power psu's is an 80mm thats vertical on the psu and cools the tops of all of the components, whereas the other psus, the ones with 120mm or 140mm fans, have to mount the fans horizonatally to get them to fit.. the horizontal fans cool the back of the psu's main circuitboard. the parallel would be having an 80mm fan intaking from the front of your case and blowing to the back.. and having a 140mm fan mounted behind your motherboard to cool your system? which one will do a better job? the 80mm.. and thats why the pcp&c have better and quieter cooling.
