Hello everyone! My friend wanted me to build him a computer and I have a general idea on what parts to use. I really want other's input on this rig! He has a $1000-$1200 budget range and primarily wants to play video games like league of legends. I know this is overkill for just one game but I want to plan on the future so I picked parts that you don't need to replace later on.
CPU- Intel Core i7-4790K Devil’s Canyon Quad-Core (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
GPU-EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
Mobo-ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
RAM-G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)
PSU-CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
Case-Rosewill CHALLENGER - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
DVD- ASUS 24X DVD Burner
Thermal Paste- Arctic Silver 5
HD- Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200 RPM
Heatsink- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Here are my concerns.
1) Should he get a GTX 970 instead of the 750 TI? I don't believe that the games he is currently playing require a 970 but is it worth the investment or should he upgrade later in the future?
2) Is the 750W PSU too much? I was thinking that in the future he might need the 750W instead of a 600W so I went big.
3)Will the case be big enough? I personaly bought a full tower for my Rig so I dont know how big a mid tower is.
Thank you guys and I will appreciate any input! I am here to learn from you guys as well as make a good computer for my friend.
