I saw some screenshots of the cars and they look pretty sw33t.
But I wonder if EA fucked this game up too.
I will prob. wait for the price to drop even more before I even consider buying it.

u should try it out at bittorrent first be4 buying =\ at least play the single players first before multiplayer =X

Well i've never trusted the screenshots posted by EA Games. Which company wouldn't post the best picture in thier website just to attract customers to buy em when they realiased that it acutally sucked. Lol.

I've been playing it for the past 2 days.. and all i can say that the car looks sooo realistic compared to the Most Wanted version. They are really starting to utilize pixel shaders to make it look nice... the tracks are nice as well.. lighting is great... awesome rendition of the NFS series.. its a buy.. or a hack LOL

I downloaded the demo... just out of curiosity... Need for speed is nothing for me really, as I don't play arcades... I prefer rFactor, Live for Speed or GTR2 anyday.

So, I played the demo for a bit... personally, this seems like a step back for me... IMO, this part should have come right after Need For Speed Underground 2... everything takes place at night again, wheras in MW, everything was so much better during the day...

The thing I really like is the addition of Muscle cars, makes the game more complete.

Autosculpt is quite an innovative idea... offers some interesting combinations, making it less likely that you'll end up with someone that has a car exactly like you...

Since its an arcade, I won't talk about realism....

I really like the return of the drift mode... prolly my favorite.

Anyhow, for those that liked the previous NFS series, this one will most probably not let you down either. For those that didn't, the Carbon edition does not give you a reason to buy it...

P.S.:Can someone please explain why on earth it is called carbon, when even the title style (neon blue for those that haven't seen it) has nothing to do with carbon? Yeah yeah, carbon valley, I know... don't like that part.

Nope, my problem is that's why they have stopped making PC games because people pirate them. You can't rent them because people copy them, it has been a Bordon on the game industry as a hole for a while now.

i dont copy games for other people.i may dl them for a few close friends to share,but i dont upload ANY game to any site for others.dont get me wrong,if i had the money i would buy all the games i play but i have'nt.i hav a few progs on my machine that have been payed for.i have a real copy of windows.i am not a pirate in the sense that i dont upload games or software for others to download.

i am sorry to say it but people will always copy games for the pc.look around and i think you will find their is an awful lot of console copies around too.it dont seem to be hurting the console market.the pc market is been hurt most by the console market.some of the shops in our town used to have loads of pc games.now there is one shelf of them and the rest of the shop is full of console titles.its plain to me what is hurting the pc market the most.CONSOLES.

ive always been in to the later need for speed games (ie customizing cars in Underground, not like Hot Pursuit). i like how they introduced more muscle and exotic cars but i hope now that its not based in a city (outskirts of the city) its still fun to play.
