i turned off restore a long time ago

i seem to have fixed it couldnt kill these 3 files though
wvuvwuu.dll
dcbeg.ini
gebcd.dll

but i no longer get popups while running mozilla/ie

Did you try any rootkit removers ? If not do try...Norton, F-Secure and others have them and they are free...
Check HERE for a list of many rootkit removers and do try them

Have you tried running HijackThis in safe mode to remove them?
