I'm trying this driver to observe whether see "display driver crashes..." or games run properly. But i have extra bug in these drivers. I can't access additional display settings, because driver installation package didn't install cccslim.exe inside program files\amd folder. It happens when you make clean uninstall (via amd's software or DDU) I think the solution is installing an older Crimson driver then update it. (which is not recommended because of changed registry entries or other things cause problems) I can stand this annoying bug if this driver really make me get rid of damn crashes.
It's been moved. It now in home/preferences

black screens and display crashes didn't end. I RMAd the card but they say "we tested and the card is OK". But all drivers have the same problems. If the card is not broken probable cause is the drivers.

I am very frustrated. Some people who use Tonga GPUS have exact same issues. No one advise me a useful solution for this.

Probably something is gimped in your OS then, the Crimson software is pretty much OK.

I reinstalled Windows, it didn't help. I'm gonna try very old drivers.

Crimson drivers have worked great for me. Sounds like something else is causing your issues. Maybe PSU?

I don't know but it doesn't seem likely. Some set of Tonga users have trouble with these drivers. Maybe some GPUs have some flaws and new drivers trigger the issue. I think a small percentage of Tongas can't perform very well on their stock speeds and pushing them hard cause crashes/lock ups. AMD is aware of this problem. This is my argument.

My card can be broken. However, RMAing card can't solve my issues, they use standard stress tests and it doesn't fail. Furmark is not enough, (I ran it long hours) games are quite another story.

Weird that is, seen no such thing my self, i never uninstall old drivers and i have never had to use DDU.
Same here, I just click update and let it do it's thing.
I've never had an issue that caused any noticeable problems.

on another note about DDU, it puts in a service called PAExec.exe, I read it does a phone home function/remote server check or something, I removed it from DDU, the Registry and the Windows Folder, Beware yall.
Im sure the phone home .exe is just to check and let you know if there's a newer version of DDU.. Really I wouldn't worries about it but these days one never knows.

Might help if you mention it is a Beta driver, as not everyone likes using them. :ohwell:

Most of what AMD releases lately is beta, and it's clearly listed as a hotfix on their site, so obviously it is.

Jeez, I would think people would be appreciative a heads up is given about new drivers, rather than pissing and moaning out of their own sheer laziness.

Like you just did?
I get notifications about new drivers on my system, I don't have to read about them on a forum.
I also don't install Beta drivers, although I do keep up with the latest qualified drivers.

Like you just did?

You're the one that implied the info wasn't complete enough, and if you really do stay in the loop on drivers, there was no reason to say such a thing.
