Anyone have any good suggestions as to which mouse to get? something not too expensive. My current mouse is the microsoft laser mouse 6000 v2 and its scroll wheel has gone wack on me unfortunately. Oh and i'd like a gamer mouse :)

I had a Logitech G5 at work and home, the one at work is gone and I miss it :) I think I'm going to get another.

Assuming you are looking for a corded mouse.

For cordless, the Logitech VX Revolution is the best I've ever used, but it's small.

I go for the G5 or G9

I love my Sidewinder X3. My DeathAdder broke after like 8 months. I didn't wanna dish out the $ for a Logitech but I like Logitech products and have owned a couple nice Logitech mice.

Logitech makes several nice mice. The Microsoft Sindwinder X8 is great, and I say OCZ Behemoth for a budget mouse. It is not great, but for $25 it will out perform most $30 to $45 mice.

Just throwing in my recommendation for the G5. I've had it going on three years now, and it's worked wonderfully the whole time.

6 buttons (Left, right, thumb, wheel left/wheel right and wheelclick)
Thick woven cord, decent length
Detachable weights that slot into a tray underneath
+ and - resolution buttons just under the wheel for DPI adjustments without having to interrupt your game

Mine hasn't degraded in quality or sturdiness since I first got it, and even the neat metallic painted surface hasn't worn off too much on the buttons. It is definitely the best I've ever used, and if it broke tomorrow, I'd buy exactly the same one again. :D

I am liking the price of that logitech G500, 40 bucks is very attractive. Only problem is the bestbuy closest to me doesnt' carry it :(. And wow newegg sells it for more expensive than bestbuy. Guess i might have to look for some deals for that mouse.

I have a Razer DeathAdder and a Logitech G9, both hooked up and though I prefer the looks of the Razer I always find myself using the G9. They are both extremely comfortable but I think the G9 has more functionality. But I would never pay $90 for a mouse, I got my G9 for $45 shipped.

I've gone Logitech for a while the MX518 and G5, both are excellent and I love my G5.

g9 is the way to go, smooth fast and sexa

G9x / G9 end of discussion :)

Same here except I had the Razer Copperhead and the Logitech G9. Love them both but there are other variables other than price to me. What grip you use and your hand/finger size. Personally the Razer was way to small for my hand. The G9 was much more comfortable. I gave my brother who has smaller hands the Razer and he loves it. Both are good for a fair price. I bought each of the ones I had for less than $50.00

Best Buy Logitech G9 $44.99

im a big fan of my logitech MX 518 looks nice feels nice has good tracking and over all fits my hand nicely making for comfortable computing

Dang I want that G9, wish bestbuy had it in their stores. Why don't they have it in stores?

well i know the MX518 was in all the bestbuys in my area so check that one out :toast:

gigabyte ghost mouse Gm-m8000

People are just peddling their own mice in these threads. Read reviews and then decide what you want.

i happened to read alot of reviews none of the other mice were worth the higher price over what i got the MX 518 is a logitech G series knock off performs just as well and was $40 cheaper then a g7 and with only a 200dpi difference it wasnt worth the price high $40 compared to $80 not to mention ive been able to manually set the mx 518 to 2000dpi not the 1800dpi max that it claims

Get the Coolermaster Storm Sentinel Advance Gaming Mouse!

cooler_master_sentinel_advance.jpg

It is one freaking awesome gaming mouse and used by some eSporters. It uses the same twin lazer the Razer Mamba uses, a twin lazer 5600DPI, 24K Gold Plated USB Connector, 5x4.5kg Adjustable Weight System, 1ms response, rapid fire tactical mode, 8 programmable buttons, 64KB Memory, Multiple Profiles for your different games, Octoshade LED Tech (can change the colour of the mouse's LED), High Tech Mouse Program, OLED Screen, X & Y independent, Customizable Clan Logo on OLED, Stormguard Security Bracket if you go to a LAN Party and much more. The great thing is its half the price of a Razer Mambo and is the same, if not better then it. They cost around $80+ AUD and well worth it. ;)

I like my sidewinder X5, but it is for people with BIG hands. Used a G9 before, its awesome. The other gaming grade mose I have touched is the Razer Mamba, while good I think it is not worth it.

Would recommmend either the G9, sidewinder X5 or everyone's favourite G5/MX518
