well ive been thinking w/ the latest technological booms and now x64 bit processors and new windows linux and mac 64b editions does anyone else here know

A:will they make any "NEW" 32b OS's or are they going to stick w/ xp?

B:do u think they should continue to make better 32b OS's?

i know most of u have a 64b processor but their are some like me on and off these forums who do not and are content as can be.....i just got a new sys and i probably wont get another for several years....many ppl have prob gotten like the semprons(fairly)new and they just happen to be the 32b versions i doubt they will just drop their old 2.0+ghz processor and grab a 64b
what do YOU think?

They may offer 32bit longhorns, but Im doubting the hardware companys are gonna like that.

Win xp does and probably will continue to work fine for prettymuch everyone..

Just because vista comes out, doesn't mean you need it... I stuck with windows 98 for 2 years before being forced to switch to xp ;)

There is nothing wrong with windows XP, its pretty much perfect with SP2. Vista will just hog more resources and have built in drm.

o i love xp i really do i was just saying

yeah.. the whole DRM freak spree they are going on is going to kill it :twitch:

I want mac os X86...:)

Won't longhorn have "legacy" support for 32 bit processors and programs?

I probably won't upgrade for awhile either. XP is working fine, and I need to see how Vista will perform. I Stuck with 98 for a couple of years, All the way through ME, and 2000.

I'm not up on Vista. What's this DRM?

well I like vista a lot...but I won't upgrade all at once, but wait a month or 2, until all the major "Oh-my-god-Vista-destroyed-my-partition" bugs are cleaned out...if there are going to be any. Time will tell.

cheers
