So they are bringing Modern Day DX 11 Features to old classics. I've been wanting something like this since DX10 first came out ! Awesome! I want to see this for the Half Life Series heck even TF2 or HL2 with DX11 Would be great.

I been running DX9 on Dues Ex 1 for a while, DX10 didn't support as much, it makes the game look quite a bit better, but don't expect it to join the ranks of how todays games look in any way.

That High Quality mod for HL2 don't really need to look any better, and HL 1 will be back when Black Mesa comes out.

Anything like this for doom, quake, or duke nukem? Never really liked any unreal until much later games.

And te Black Mesa was suppose to be released before New Year 2010... har har har

i guess it looks better, think a texture update woulda done a lot more justice personally.

Would have been better if they had a before and after screenie.. imo, It will look just the same, not unless they added dx9 / 10 / 11 shader effects in the code.

its supposed to be more compatible with newer OS's, and have better support for AA/AF and widescreen.

Oh ok. Havent read the authors notes.. yeah that makes sense

There was a GL engine for Doom, but it wasn't very good.

The origional Quake has very many different engines and graphic enhancement mods... check out quakeone.com

beware: 90% of the US quake community are complete idiots. Your best bet is to hang around the euro quakers.

Bah you people crapping all over my Unreal thread with Black Mesa banter. Sigh, fine, you win...

I'm not holding my breath still but, oh look, just three days ago came the news that it will be released this year:

This had better be true if they A) Want anyone to still care and B) Don't want this painstaking update to have dated looking graphics itself

Ha Funny i was just thinking of Playing Deus Ex and now this makes me want to play it over again even more with this Renderer and with the two mods New vision and the HDTP mod makes the game look really good
