Precisely the reason i'm looking to pick one up, probably gonna get a forza horizon bundle as i can use the game on my pc instead, and i got Gow4 already with my 1070

I will probably only ever use it for platform exclusives and 4k bluray, and i dont think i've seen a single platform exclusive yet for xbone that i actually want to play (annoyingly there are a few i want on ps4, but that bluray playback is a dealbreaker, and imo, a retarded move by sony, i can get not having it on the slim, but the pro should have it)

I am surprised you have not raged quit after seeing how laggy they can be. My sister has one on her 4K tv and games like fallout 4 and skyrim special edition are super laggy in big areas.

I disagree. This generation for both sides has been absolute trash for games. 90% of them are remasters. Neither one of them really has that many new exclusives.

of course not. the benefits of owning a 4K television are marginal. you have to sit unrealistically close to the source material to see the difference (about 3 feet in front of a 55" television). I own a Panasonic 50" VT25 and it has deeper blacks, more pop and better motion resolution than any 4K Television I have seen.

Ok, thinking about it some more and taking great offense that you won't accept my gracious offer of counselling sessions, I'd like to recommend Xbox exclusive Forza Motorsport 6 as a poor second choice.

My mate let me play it round his house the other day and by the time I had to go, he struggled to get me to quit playing, it was so addictive. It runs at a solid 60fps so the animation is super smooth and it supports in-game purchases of new cars. The cars handle like the real thing and the Ferrari LaFerrari in particular, was absolutely mental. You gotta try it. :pimp:

The only thing with 4k TV's is having content that is driven as 4k. When 4k tvs first came out there was nothing that was native 4k so it made them fairly pointless. but now theres a lot more. I dont think cable companies have it yet though. At least not all pf them. But most people seem to be ditching cable for media boxes like Rokus. I just got one as a matter of fact.

Not sure if you mean the input lag or actual game being laggy. The XBO S doesn't output games in native 4k, but those are large open world games that weren't really built for 4k resolution in mind. I play my Xbox One on one of my 1080p monitors solely because of the 4ms latency

Those perks don't really have anything to do with resolution. More to do with technologies used and screen material. Personally I'm waiting for more affordable AMOLED screen or similar technology.

I wouldn't call a 4k TV a gimmick. The difference even sitting on a couch at a distance is quite different compared to a 1080p TV. Clarity is just so much more.

You could tell that 90% of the game play was below 60FPS and some times lower than 30 FPS.

I got gears of war 4 free with my gpu, and that is one, and i know forza horizon 3 is

There is a Forza H3 and grey 512gb xbone bundle for £219 on the microsoft store i want to get but the bloody thing is out of stock

The only other decent deal is a few places have the 1tb model with GOW4 for £245, if its a boxed version of the game i could probably flog it for £15-20

I would rather get a 1tb, but the grey one looks nicer (everything under my tv is black or dark grey)
