If they were working on it for last 8 years, a quick magick patch doesn't sound possible. Steam reviews slowly getting better though.

This seems to run badly mostly on nVidia cards. But no issues on AMDs.

Anyone can confirm that?

Edit:
Disabling AA seems to fix the stuttering issues for some. Just use ReShade/SweetFX which is better anyways.

No problem at all for me, GOG version, 1080p all High, V-Sync OFF, SSAA 4X (FXAA cause stuttering), FPS capped at 90 and it hovers around 50-90 FPS.

Just FYI this game is an OpenGL game

Anyone in here bought new ship from traders? I had 2 offers on 2 nice looking ships, but one was 310k with 18spaces, other was 400k with 18spaces. I guess I encountered those merchants too early I had only like 260k on hands. But yeah game is very nice. I'm still on 1st planet, not gonna leave till I get 100% on it. And I noticed when you feed some bigger animals and get friendly with em, they drop sometimes crafting materials.

No issues here, no crashing, and loading takes less than 1sec. after the "No Man's Sky" comes up on the intro.
I can't stop playing it. Did some test and I can't tell difference from High to Medium, and Low settings gave worse FPS I'm getting around 40-57fps, plenty fine for me.
To me the textures look blurry on any setting.

Strange, as I've had no issues. Played over 4hours so far, still on my starter planet.

Can't bought new ship yet, too expensive. The first ship offered to me was 3.4 million units, it's nice though, got 28 slots/spaces. The 2nd ship was 618K units with 20 slots, still too expensive.

I got bored after 3-4 hours, started hunting Sentinel drone, killed 3 of them and then I found massive field with a couple of giant dog-porcupine hybrid creatures. Running around mining Titanium and accidentally shot one of the creature, they got angry and headbutt me a couple of times before I managed to run away. Crazy Dogcupine.

well some people are over-reacting, but in my case that is literally unplayable. glad i wasnt one of the many super-hyped for this.

Games been running fine for me too, put in a solid 5 hours last night without any major problems, performance is definitely flaky at times with some odd stuttering but damn is it addictive.

I just played 3 hours straight and had zero issues. Game runs a solid 60 fps with everything maxed in game settings at 1080p with vsync off. No stuttering, no lag, fps never dip, no crashing, no lockups, runs fantastic. The only issue Ive discovered is I can't stop playing and it is near 4am here.

So not sure what all the fuss is about. I mean maybe I will run into problems eventually but so far the game runs even better than on the PS4. So much easier to play on PC though that I may not touch it on the ps4 again but who knows.

Oh and it loads super fast too.

I did update to the latest nvidia drivers which I think are a about a month old now.

I was reading reviews for over an hour now and I'm starting to see what it is rated so low:

Because every fift person (roughly) who reviewed this game on Steam is an absolute tw*t! No offense but there are so many unfair and idiotic reviews like this one... He bought a game which is all about space exploration and resource gathering, yet after 1.3 hours he already lost interest with the game... I'm pretty sure he already has best space ship in the game, all technologies unlocked and he took a piss on every planet available, TWICE

I decided to give it a go myself, game is downloading right now. Although, with all performance issues it should be way cheaper than 60 euro.

Once i got off the initial starting planet my game seems a lot more stable. Just got a warp drive and didnt have a crash in ~ an hour.

Oh no I absolutely get the point, I'm just not an idiot that is going to call someone a twat for giving their opinion in a review for something which they obviously played and did not like. He's not who I would call the twat in this situation. There's no point in wasting much breath on you, because it's pretty clear you're only interested in something that agrees with your very narrow minded opinions. I'd suggest you stop reading reviews and leave the internet if people's opinions bother you that much, because surprise, that's what reviews and message boards are generally made up of.

I'm suppose to know where Sunshine Coast is? My point was that grammar is the way it is. There is a limit in gameplay time, you can't play it for 20 hours and then decide you want to refund it. And in that time, he didn't find it particularly engaging.

The fact is, game is way too expensive and has too many problems. And thanks to reviews, I'll wait a bit for it to get fixed and a bit cheaper. If I don't pay 60€ even for AAA titles, I really can't pay for indie one. Unless it would be absolutely awesome. And this one just isn't apparently.

Well, i know where the sunshine coast is.

The game can be sped up rather fast due to known (from the PS4 leaks) exploits for fast money/free fuel. It's entirely possible within an hour or two if you knew what to do that you could be a dozen planets in.

From what I've seen on streams, it's the same story on every planet, same space stations and all that, it's just tiny things that are different and may surprise you. Like really weird aliens or huge piles of gold you weren't expecting. It probably loses the wow effect quickly and then it's a grind. Maybe 1 hour isn't entirely representitive, but you get a general idea.
