While I can't suggest a specific model, I would recommend going for a non-reference card where one of the selling points are beefed up VRMs. This is because programs like this will max out a GPU and cause noticeable and unpleasant coil whine. If you're unlucky like I was with a near reference (tiny stock overclock) GTX 580 a few years ago, this one, then you'll get a card that literally howls like a banshee when driven like this. It's so bad in fact, that it managed to get into the soundcard's audio circuitry and sound loudly through the speakers, which was completely unacceptable. Needless to say, I couldn't use it for this task at all because of this.

I think your best bet would be a GTX 750 or Ti, assuming you don't want to spend a lot. Best FPS/W. I have a 750 EVGA SC I'm not using.

GTX 970s are your best bet 250k to 300k and sometimes more. Prices are falling used so look around. Hope you get that dedicated folder going!! :toast:
