NVIDIA to Launch GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and GTX 1050 on Same Day

Contrary to earlier reports about NVIDIA announcing the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti around mid-October, with a follow-up GTX 1050 (non-Ti) launch in late-October, the company is reportedly planning to launch both mid-range SKUs on the same date, which is the 25th of October, 2016. At its launch, the GTX 1050 Ti will feature 4 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 128-bit wide memory interface; while the GTX 1050 will feature 2 GB of it.

How about a price drop from Nvidia so the 1070 is £50 cheaper, the 1080 is £100 cheaper and the 1080ti can take the old 1080 price.....

1050ti is supposed to be a 75watt TDP. The presence of a 6 pin connector suggests this will be like the 950, when underclocked versions will need no external power.

I've heard that the reference 1050 Ti will not need a 6 Pin but the non reference with superior coolers and clocks will need a 6 Pin.

So running it through www.xe.com we get £121 and £96. I guess vat would have to be added onto that, making for £145 and £115, surprisingly close to the $ value.

I'd be interested in a really low end "GT 1010" type card to have as a tiny and cheap version of my GTX 1080, but this performance level and then some is now available from an IGP so we won't see them anymore.

My GT 520 was the little version of my GTX 580 and made for interesting comparisons, especially as it had more RAM than its big brother.

Unless you play 5 years old games, those 2GB of VRAM will definitely not be sufficient for any game on 1080p resolution....

It's not like you can play games at 1080 anyway LOL. These cards are pointless. I see no point if you have to play shit on low settings. Let OEMs have this crap.

I saw it already on my old GTX680 2GB that the VRAM was the bottleneck on 1080p, not the GPU performance. :/
