Even though I shouldn't be giving my personal opinion on these things, study finds that only 1.1% of the internet is pornography.
While pr0n, as some people prefer to call it, made the internet grow extremely fast in the 90's it seems that the percentage is going down rapidly these days. If this means that there is less porn or that there is more other content is not mentioned. Spamfilters seem decently effective to block these sites even though up to a quarter of the blocked sites seems to be "safe".
I'm still receiving my fair share of v!4gr4 mails every day though, lucky me.

Well 1.1% of all the net is still a huge chunk... when you consider the millions/billions of websites there must be.
 
whats the percentage of porn being looked at and downloaded compared to other sites?
 
1.1? Even though that might be a huge chunk, I still figured there would be more than that. And hey, I would put this sight in that percentage as those worth visiting.

Maybe this is like just legal sites -_-


I really think there is a LOT more than 1%, but with all sorts of forums and things, there is a lot of stuff.


And how exactly was this calculated? Is this total size of the sites/associated files, total number of pages, what?

If it was used bandwidth this number would be definitely too low.

Why goto porn websites when it can install spyware, and viruses to your comp? I'm not surprised the percentage is going down, people are becoming more aware these days.

There are other ways to satisfy porn craves besides websites...
