I still don't buy that. 1.55v has degraded every single other AMD chip since the 939 days, and a smaller process makes the chips more sensitive to voltage. I still say 1.45V it is, possibly 1.5V. I have yet to see any proof to suggest that 1.55V is safe.

Update:

After 50 BSODs and my fist through a wall I'm at 3.45 stable with 1.44v

Multiplier: 15x
FSB: 230MHz

Now I have a concern. Is 1.44v safe for 24/7 usage?

This. With a BE you should be using the Multi to overclock.

On air I personally wouldnt go over 1.5v on the cpu. Although I have read where people are doing 1.55. I am running 3.5 @ 1.50 24/7 and havent had a problem yet. Max temps with all 4 cores at full load has been 63c.

its a newer version too. (i have a thing against guru3D, they stole inf. modded drivers i made years ago, and claimed they made them... despite my name being in the inf file)

Not sure how the linpack test goes on AMD, but on intel its far, FAR more stressful than the others... its native x64 as well, which makes a big difference (tests the entire chip, not just the x86 parts)

I have run different AMD CPUs at 1.5 vcore quite safely. They have survived many hours of OCCT Linpack and standard testing.

I dont think 1.44 is that extreme. Especially if your temps are in a safe area....
