Just doing some test runs on a sempron le 1150...practically bottom of barrel, after doing some research most I saw was a 2.8ghz oc.

I'm going to do some base work on it and see how high it can go.

looks like multi is locked up in my bios which really ticks me off, HT at best can go to 1000 if necessary.

using OCZ 1066 4gb of ram,

timings

5 CL
5
5
15
25
2t
as listed in cpu z.

voltage at stock sits default 1.3, can max at 1.4 and can lower all the way to 1.25v

chk overdrive and hmm everything chks out fine. cpu fan is aftermarket pushes about 5500RPM's now.
hmm ever since I changed out to this new DFI board, my temp on vid card has gone down I dunno if my fan speed changed at all
(side note)

temps are low for it about 21-28C at best.

Okay gonna drop the mem down to ddr2 400, and try a base OC of 2.6ghz.

okay restarted and came up good, for 2.6ghz,

ram is at 266 for the speed right now.

No pics for this now, but looks like HT is now 1000

FSB is 260 x 10 = 2600
memory timings remain the same.
upped the volt by .25mv in bios.

cpu temp is 23c-28c fluctuates because of cool and quiet not too too bad.

I need to know whats a good step from here. Try for 3.0ghz and up the voltage?? or work on the memory???

okay are these settings somewhere in the ballpark???

I tried 3.0ghz with it already but swear it doesn't like that at all, and the memory ends up stuck at ddr400.

now I'm just trying htt clock at 255 should give 255 x10 = 2.55ghz, with ddr set to 800 but because of divider it is some awkward number, clocks in at like 430 mhz in cpu z. Core voltage is 1.34 on cpu, I hope I can get some suggestions here.

Unless you are buying a high end Black Edition or FX processor, they all have locked multipliers. So the Sempron shouldn't be a surprise. If you can only go up to 1.4v, I doubt you will get a decent overclock out of the processor.

I haven't pushed its voltage all the way to 1.4 yet, getting there but not yet I think 3.ghz is the max possibility, just RAM wants to give out. I just wanted to see if it was remotely possible on a bottom of the barrel semp.
