If you mean 4th quarter exclusively, then most likely..nothing.

Guild Wars 2 is the game I'm really waiting for, Starcraft 2 will be here to hold me over. The original Guild Wars I've played for five years for about four and a half thousand hours, most of it spent in PvP, the PvE was somewhat lacking. This is a game that still has a massive competitive community, and is still being balanced to keep up with new trends. It really set the bar for team-based PvP, and I can't wait to see what happens with it in Guild Wars 2.

GW2 has been in development for almost four years I think, and it looks like PvE is getting a lot of time spent on it, something that never happened in the original. If you're wondering about visuals, guildwars2.com has videos of gameplay, animations, and the world itself up already. It looks stunning.

Two things almost every big MMORPG to date (excluding Guild Wars;)) has done are charge monthly, and focus your time on grinding. Guild Wars 2 has already been confirmed to be free to play (after you buy the game itself), and it has never offered any exclusive benefits to those who pay more. In previous games, the PvE has been story-driven, and you hit max level about halfway through if you bother with a few side quests. Not sure on this game, they may take more of a typical MMO stance on max level being high, with the twist being that leveling is easy, and linear.

Again, guildwars2.com will have all the available info, excluding the release date which looks to be q1 or 2 of next year...these rumors are always around though...ask a Guild Wars fanatic like myself and they will always give you an optimistic response. But watching the gameplay has really set me to hoping it's soon, so I can fall behind on everything else I have to do.

New Vegas also looks interesting, but I doubt it will break the mold, and modded Fallout 3 will still compete with it until their incredible modding community makes the switch and is given some time.

Oh, and maybe the new Borderlands expansion, that game has been consistently entertaining with a group of friends.

FEAR 1 had a full time dynamic lighting.. where FEAR 2 only has it from specific (*few) light sources.

Also FEAR 1 had a massive online following with a community of devoted fans.

That's just one area of the engine though. I myself though am not going to really discuss the graphics of the F.E.A.R. games though since they are already awesome looking.

I can definitely see where you're coming from on the original F.E.A.R. being the best including the expansions. I myself was dissapointed with the F.E.A.R. 2 as it was very short and it had no expansions.

Still, I have a heart for the series and will definitely try out their games. The third installment though has an interesting turn in the series.

Its a pity i passed on the original fear, yeah at the time i had just sold my p4 and was running on a p3. Got it a couple of years later, the atmosphere was great but there's something with the engine that makes it age badly. It just keeps me from playing it with ease. Don't get me wrong, i play a lot of old games, but this one although its a gem in its kind, makes it... rather uneasy for me. Does anyone get that feeling?

I strongly disagree.

FEAR is one of the few games I have played through a good few times. In comparison to more modern shooters (including FEAR2), I feel the game engine offers very crisp and smooth gameplay. This is probably because it was built from the ground up as a PC game, not as a console shooter. These days of course things are the other way around.

Aside from that I cant think of any other title that has offered better CPU AI gun battles than FEAR, ever.

I think you got me wrong there, I was talking about graphics, maybe I should have specified it. Gameplay-wise, I don't have anything against the game, like I stated :)

i hope we won't get doomed by the time the gemes get released

btw, i miss 2009 so much, its was the golden age of PC games,

its doesn't only have plenty of new and creative but the graphic was stunning, even by today standard ( SupCom, crysis, COD4, bioshock, AC etc) but now every games must be thumbed down to meet cosolities standard, its so sad :(, its even downgrade some of the games and destroy the franchise (ex: SupCom, FEAR2, AC2).

i hope 2011 we will see the rise of PC games,

I have an embarrassing amount of time sunk into GW as well (R10 / G5), but from a PvP player perspective I'm not looking forward to GW2 at all. They never got skill balancing right with GW and in many ways made the game worse over the years. GW2 is going to be more PvE oriented with PvP being like a giant random arena noob festival with GvG as an afterthought. So if you like PvE GW2 will probably be awesome but for the tiny number of players who played PvP primarily it's going to be a huge let down.
