What application did you installed recently? To me it might be caused by cpu high temps or bad hard drive issue but so far there is nothing coming like that from your side so a software that made changes to your windows registry or the kernel itself might be causing this much trouble. Drivers can also output BSOD and slower pc performance. Recall what did you installed last time? application/drivers

just games, skype and and emulator

To give you an idea of your processes needing to be under control.

You've got 73 processes and 4GBs of ram.
I've got 52 processes and 16GBs of ram.

You have 1/4 my memory but some how you exceed my average process count.

it depends upon the processes. they very according to user and the ram they consume. you might be having those processes which he has and contrary to that too.

GOOD NEWS!!
i repaired broken files via Command Prompt and also rolled back my AMD Driver to 11.12 and everything worked out fine. i now get my regular FPS (50-65) in BF3 instead of the unbearably low (29-35) FPS

i do still get the sense of sluggishness but not by much. I also realized that i dont have much RAM so im planning on buying 4 more GBs next month or so :D

EDIT:
if i experience anymore slowdowns or crashes i'll definitely do a Clean OS install.

When you go through the process of reinstalling windows. There is two options. One where it formats first (that deletes everything) and the other will just move your files to a safe location.

I think it's best to do the format, back up your images, documents, game save files onto a CD or USB stick first.

I'm glad that you've fixed it. Yes more ram should settle you. :)

Maybe its time to get 8gb of ram? Its a good time to buy ram right now.

Hey thats great, i had a feeling it was something to do with drivers. Must have been some older files still there from the previous driver install.

i think so, and its probably caused by how i installed it. I usually use driver sweeper then install the drivers. For this i uninstalled it from the installer itself, went to safe mode and used driver sweeper there and finished up with Ccleaner and the installation itself.

Clean disk then defrag then blow out your case and fans with compressed air.
