Any suggestions?
A couple of thoughts:
Your motherboard is the ROG Strix X570-E Gaming, right? It supports the Ryzen 3 3200G with BIOS revision 0704 or later. According to Asus, there have been at least two prior firmware updates. If the motherboard uses an older version, it won't recognize the CPU. However, if that was the case, the fans should at least start spinning when powered on.

Have you oriented the power switch connector properely, i.e. ground wire to ground pin?
Have you tried manually shorting the motherboard pins to power on?
Are any of the diagnostic LEDs lit? Does the debug display show any code?
Have you tried removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and clearing the BIOS settings with a jumper?

As others have already suggested, try building outside the case with only the CPU, stock cooler, and a single stick of RAM

Think they mean the Q-code or POST code readout you have on the bottom edge of the board.

This. Mobo on top of mobo box, 24pin and a 12V EPS cable plugged in, one stick of RAM in slot 4 (manual says that's the primary slot for single stick installation), CPU and cooler installed.

Actually, even before tearing it all down, try just doing a single stick in slot 4 and see if that changes anything. Looking at your picture now, you have slots 1-3 filled, and if 4 is the primary slot, maybe it thinks there's no RAM installed

That did not work so I tried to update the bios and the bios update button broke off inside the motherbaord.
I have an RMA coming for the motherboard soon, I hope.

Yes try just 2 memory sticks ,A2-B2. That's what works for me.
Oh I see you broke a button. When the new board comes take some electrical tape on the standoffs and poke a small hole for the screw and install on top of it all.
Just some insurance and easy to do.

CPU cooler - Cooler Master liquid
RAM - G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4 64GB
Video Card - Geforce GTX 1660
Power supply - Thermaltake 850 (toughpower series)
Case - Enermax Makashi MK50

3rd new processor
3rd new power supply
3rd new motherboard
New power switch

Decorative lights on the motherboard come on when I turn on the main power switch on the back of the case.
I hit the power switch and nothing starts.
No fans, no ssd or hdd, no other lights, absolutely nothing.

Tried starting without ram, video card, cpu cooler, separately and all at once.
Have tried plugged into a wall outlet and surge protector.
Per the manual, all cables and cords are plugged into the correct spots and all hardware is seated properly.

I seldom ask for help on such things but I really am stuck on this one.
Any suggestions?
Hello. Have you tried bypassing the power button and instead using a flat head screw driver on the motherboard power header to start the PC? It could be your power switch is bad.

So this new motherboard will now be the 4th one you'll have tried?
3rd new processor
3rd new power supply
3rd new motherboard

I can't imagine you'd have 3 motherboards, CPUs, and PSUs all DOA - gotta be something on the assembly side of things

I like the idea that you are detail-oriented.
I have checked the power button cable and have even tried a different power button assembly with a new cable.
No go.
But thanks for the reply.

The manufacturer was called and they verified that they are compatible.
Appreciate the input.

You may have to try reversing the power plug in case it's oriented the wrong way. If you have lights on the motherboard it's receiving some sort of power. Try using a screw driver and touch it against the power switch pins.

The amount of components you've tried indicated that it's not component failure. you should get some post even with a bad ram, cpu, hdd. post will go through the sequence and output codes to the LED near the bottom.

Ok, I'm going to tell you that Asus person is wrong and the 3200G will not work on that Motherboard.
Problem solved.
Most if not all 5 series Motherboards will support Ryzen 3000 (not 3 series APUs) , 4 series including APUs and 5 series.

ASUS should correct their list of supported CPUs for that motherboard then, because it shows it as a supported CPU since BIOS version 0704 (5th CPU down on the supported list is the 3200G)

The I and F versions of the ROG Strix X570 show they also support the 3200G. Just going by what ASUS lists as supported, the CPU should work in the board.

I did say MOST.
I've been known to be wrong before, there was that one time in 1986... oh never mind.

I have had a brand new system I built not post due to even just something as simple as the Cmos battery not seated correctly or dead even from the factory. Just an idea. Might want to remove the Cmos battery and wait about a minute at least and reinsert it.

This thread is going nowhere unless OP tests the PC outside of a chassis.

Liberate that PC! Even if it still won’t boot I promise you’ll find looking at it dead on the box it came in quite satisfying. Plus you have to do it anyway if you’re going to RMA.

I finally got the PC running.
Something about the liquid cooling was causing issues.
I have decided to go with a high-quality heat sync and fan and call it good.
Better safe than sorry.
Thanks for all the info.

I found all of the information useful if not now, for the future.
Before I read this post I did do an out-of-the-case build and added parts one by one to see if it would power on after each step.
This thread may help other people that have the same issue.
This thread went everywhere it needed to in that light. :)
