PC wont boot

That rm1000x is among the best units you can get. You chose well.
Their memory on the other hand you have to be much more diligent with. They use every manufacturer under the sun and bin their ics tight. So make sure you research the specific model your interested in or you can end up with an expensive dud.
GL!

Okey thank you! I’m not sure what ics mean tho, also how would I know if my RAM is damaged and that is causing my issue?

YW!
No, no, that's for future consideration not your current problem. The PSU is almost certainly the problem.
The ics are parts of the modules under the heatsinks, that Corsair buys from Samsung, SK hynix, etc...but don't worry about that until your ready to upgrade your memory. You've got enough on your plate for the moment!

Alright, what are the best RAM brands? For future reference. Also I know my cpu only supports up to 4800 mhz but is there a way to still enable the full 5600?

Gskill is the brand I generally stick with. I also like Kingston, Crucial, Teamgroup, Patriot but Corsair isn't bad. You just have to know what ics your buying just like the rest. Corsair at least makes revisions when they change ics to the same model. Alot don't.
I don't really buy according to brand very often. I'm a bit of an ic junky lol. When I find an ic that ocs well I buy it from the brand that has the best when I'm buying.

Do yo know how to overclock memory? If so you may be able to hit 5600 with your current modules. If not you'll have to start studying up ;)

Alright, I am interested in Kingston for the future since I've heard of them multiple times. I think I chose Corsair mostly based of experience and bling bling, like rgb and iCUE.

It's in BIOS you overclock, right? I remember I enabled XMP and changed it from 4600 to Samsung something 5600. A new territory for me. Using CPU-Z I found out it stil was only using 4600 tho.

Best is to buy memory that's on the motherboard memory QVL, that has been tested to run at their rated speed.

Check it here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z690-AORUS-PRO-rev-1x/support#support-memsup
Thanks! It says mine is native 4800 but the speed is 5600. Not sure what "ss" means and the other stuff tho.

Flashing without CPU you mean?
Yes? I've always just use that speical port just out of habbit. I don't do it very often so when I go read the manual some say they need a cpu installed, some say they just want memory, some said they don't want anything. Whatever the configuration usually it says use that USB port this labeled BIOS . so I just stick with the that specific USB port.

Update: First off it seems my PSU shipment has been delayed until monday. Second, I tried booting without RAM and there is a difference, now the only codes are C4 C1 and 20. So im doing a Q-flash without RAM now. Im starting to suspect that it's the RAM that's been causing the "no boot" error.

Edit: I ran it again now and same issue as before, I tried switching RAM slots. I did note that the main power cable was really stretched out tho and that the CPU power cable was on sharp edge, perhaps one of the many cables has torn off? Anyways it probably is the PSU as you guys have said but it's frustrating to just sit and wait for a new one, If I could get into bios that would at least be nice.

So I might have figured out what's wrong...

Question, im thinking of buying another 32gb of RAM, would the brand, mhz and latency matter?

Update: I got the PSU (secondhand) seems fresh and all but some of the cables are missing. Does all the CPU cables come marked with CPU or could it be another one? I have one cable that might be the correct one but it don't seem to fit and its not marked with CPU.

anyways about the cable, does anyone know?
If you bought new you would have a complete cableset.

Don't skimp on a PSU if you also bought a brandnew AMD 6950XT High-End GPU....

never mix Psu cables unless Thay come from the same model. but your always best to buy a new psu as said.

You can buy spare cables from Corsair. Is this the rm1000x you spoke of earlier? Also, what cpu cable are you missing specifically?

Edit-are you having the same problem with the new PSU?

Yeah, also the seller forgot to ship the cables so he did that now.

Update: Got the PSU plugged in and all but it's the same as before. Without RAM I get the error code C4, C1 and 20. With RAM I Get C4, C1, 28 and 56. Unsure what to do next.

Can you test with a different memory kit?

Im unsure, is it worth buying a new set of RAM sticks?
I thought more like borrow from a neighbor/friend perhaps, just to test.

I don't think so, also does it have to be DDR5? Like do the MOBO support DDR4 RAM sticks?
