Planetside 2: Beta key giveaway

I won a beta key giveaway for this game so its only right that I did the same when I received a buddy key. I was given an extra key earlier but i gave it to a friend of mine with the only condition that he give me the buddy key if/when they send him one.

So I have one key available to give away for the close beta.


Entry Requirements:

1. You have to have a minimum of 500 Post count

2. Been a member here at TPU for a minimum of at least a year

Exceptions will be made to those who either fold or crunch for TPU

I was prety excited about this title when i first read it was on the way but I have to admit that I wasn't very impressed last night when I played. It really felt like I was playing a BF3 game. Upgrades and such are available to un-lock etc but it was pure chaos lol. Visually it's nothing special either. I maxed everything out and expected much more detail. Maybe they are running the beta in a stripped down mode? I dunno. It's f2p if I'm not mistaken so maybe after it releases it will be worth checking out.

On the flip side I know absolutley nothing about the game other than what I've read. I got into the game and I was kinda lost as far as what to do, how to upgrade etc. I did manage to upgrade to that heavy dude with dual guns...that was awesome; taking out armor and soldiers.

One major issue I had was I entered the settings and controls to find that all the controls were blank and I could not assign anything. That sucked as I could not tailor the controls to my needs.

I do plan to play more though and see if it grows on me as I learn how to do things.

Because I can not afford the game any way been out of full time work for 5 years now and have the nothing to look forward to other than a new game to play.

Beta is over. The game releases on the 20th. During the beta though they shut down the servers at night.
