Possible Cat 11.4 preview coming today...

Too bad I bought a 5800 series in 2009 like a sucker.

Goddammit, do any other 5800 series owners feel like they're getting the shaft from AMD lately? Sigh...

Nope, not really ;)

+1 amen i hadnt got round to testing them fully yet, and i think someone on here did mention that sometimes its about quallity improvements, and as ive allways said i allways hold my fps close to 60 by finding more ways to maximise quality so extra fps to me means i can turn something up 16x EQAA for example and on a 5870;)(not too sure if its actually EQAA but it messes up the likes of crysis 2 demo so?):D

dont be such an fps addict unless that is games skip and stutter for you?

;)cheers erocker, il get that damn multi quote sussed yet lol:D

I agree had my 5870 now for 1.5 years and it still hasnt let me down. Im still quite happy with it.

I like the idea that someone is getting better BC2 results.

I have to ask though, how do you bench this game? if there is a easy way of doing this, ill give them a go and report back.

Down loaded and going to give these a shot. Will post my findings later.

These drivers freakin' rawk!

:rockout:

So far only glitches were that on 2 different systems, the CCC whacked out my firewall (Comodo) when it restarted after install.
From there another reboot and all is fine on both.
Not sure why?
Benches seem close, or slightly higher. (Vantage & Heaven)

install over your current driver else you may have install issues
Thanks for that. I did what you recomended and didnt have any issues. :rockout:

I noticed that the cross fire power management is gone now. I removed the driver complete and used the latest driver cleaner in safe mode, deleted all files to the driver with show hidden folders and ran CCleaner... Installed the 11.4 ccc and no problems.

I like the new driver cleaner as it removes just the ccc software and not the chipset drivers..

So far I just ran Mark11 and notice a big improvement in scores. :rockout:

Plus my cursor lag at the top right of the screen seems to be fixed :toast:

AMD your finally starting to get it right for a change :respect:

*edit* cursor bug is present atm! Dammit!!

Please, elaborate on this statement... As to why?!?

there seemed to be a big "lag" in the card detection phase of install - with a clean install this caused my system to hang - installing over a previous driver it installed fine. results may vary.

3dmark 11 score went up with these from cat 11.2 (5037) to 11.4 (5221) stock HD6970

i think amd have optimized these drivers for benchmarking, im sure cat 11.2 AMD Optimized Tess was 4x because i tested them all before, on 11.4 AMD Optimized for 3dMark11 seems to be 2x

Do you guys know if there is also a 11.4 mobility release/mod? I would like to update my gx740. I thought there was one, but can't find it, so am not sure.
