... Kind of insane that a phone is quicker than an FX platform these days.

Pixel 8, Tensor G3, lots of background tasks, I didn't even see instructions till after.

This is with no extensions disabled, Edge Canary Android running Unlock Origin and a bunch of other stuff, plus Android 15 beta downloading and unpacking in the background. I'll re-run once the update completes.

Something's off. I'm getting practically the same result with a 3300X and a 5800X3D, even though the tests complete visibly faster on the latter
EDIT:
Checked with a stopwatch. On the 3300X first pass with Waterfox took 73s, but the second one was 56s. The 5800X3D finishes in 50s consistently. So it seems this benchmark only cares about ST performance.

I don't know the details, but the CPU is barely touched when this benchmark happens, so not sure what it tests in honesty.

Not to mention far more energy-efficient, though the two are not really comparable. Could you run 7-zip 22.01 on the Tensor G3? You will find an ARM64 build if you follow the link in the first post.

This benchmark maxes out a single thread, but doesn't seem to load more than three at any time. Browser performance primarily scales with CPU generation. Still, I'd consider any dual core enough for casual web browsing.

I'm sure there's a way to run it on the phone, but unless it's already built as an APK I'm not going to take the time, sorry.

I guess I don't have screenshots like everyone else, but:

Intel i5-13420H
Firefox 126.1
Arch Linux

On battery: 5.25 with all extensions, 9.80 with extensions disabled, 9.95 in incognito mode.
On AC: 9.10 with all extensions, 17.1 with extensions disabled, 17.5 in incognito mode.

Only three of my extensions measurably slowed down the benchmark:
Stylus: 3% slower
UBlock Origin: 9% slower
Dark Reader: 38% slower (!!)

If anyone has a better performing alternative to Dark Reader, let me know :>

Had some background processes running, but still a decent score.
CPU: Ryzen 7 7700x stock
RAM: 32gb 6200 MT/s
