Post your Speedtest.net Speeds!

Russia 6$ per month

Ukraine, 10$/month
holy crap that's cheap and very fast I pay $159/m for 2000/2000 here in Gougelandastan (new zealand)

1Gbit internet, €40 month

8Gbit available:

But i can't use that speed, because the LAN ports are only1Gbit (modem 2,5Gbit, switches/PC's 1Gbit)
And that's not going to change this year.

1Gbit is really good unless you are h24 uploading or DL
go upgrade from 500/500 to 1000/1000 :
for 30€/month

Russia, 1 Gbit plus 180 TV channels, plus equipment rental, $11

Did another run today not bad on wifi using Arch Linux if I may say so and yes I am on coax that's why my answering time is so high.

Going to change ISP next month, so it'll be interesting to see if they deliver the same service, for less. My current ISP wants $13 more for the same connection speed...

Why are you testing against a Dutch server if you're in the UK?

I hope it will turn out good with your next isp @TheLostSwede

I can get Bahnhof Fiber too but with the fiber owners shitty history I do not want sleepless nights and days off with because the fiber owners centrals only have 10Gbit capacity :banghead:

UK2 is my provider

So I am testing against a server outside my isps network.

500 Mbps download and 200 Mbps upload. About 120 $ per month with TV channels.

I take it they're not limited to just the UK then?

Correct, they are in The Netherlands too and I do not complain about my speed on coax I rarely do after ditching fiber which was 500 even 1000Mbps where I could only reach 200Mbps outside the isp's and sometimes on the fiber isp's network I was lucky to reach 500Mbps the technicians couldn't find the problem onsite even took the fiber box off my wall and took it to the fiber station where all the fiber gets send out and connected it there to find the same problem. Less than a week after the fiber other started their troubleshooting it came back the centrals capacity was only 10Gbit which was an issue when they mostly sell 1gigbit up and down and promise 900/900 :kookoo:

So I went coax instead 1000/500 Mbps cheaper than fiber only about 42USD where gigabit fiber is about 56,26USD.

My isp promises 800/500 Mbps and I do over 900Mbps down on cable 24/7 so I do not really complain I just need a stronger tiny server (i5-8500T) because it can only pull 600/300Mbps.

This is why I do not want to try fiber even Bahnhof offers 1/1Gbit for about 14USD a month for 6 months than the price goes up to 49USD, but it's a open-net shared fiber solution not p2p and after the fiber owner went from P2P to Open-net this where all their problems at least for me and others started.

@TheLostSwede is their fiber P2P or Open-net?

The fibre is owned by the old government telco here, as they had a deal with the construction company that built the flats here.
That said, I have not had any issues with the speed dropping, even when going a bit further afield.

Just got a new phone with 5G. Pretty impressive speeds when you’re connected to medium range or mmWave bands.

Bought a new networking stack. Switch, router, controller and 2 APs. I can pull line rate with IDS/IPS enabled which is nice. This is actually a bit of an over provision. The plan is 2G/1G.

Ain't the whole deal with fiber that it's symetical with the same speed up and down? At least that's what it is here but nice speeds.

The most I can get is 2500/500Mbps on coax if I want to change provider not sure I want because this means I also have to buy for 3 months at a time but the monthly price is the same as I pay now.

In this particular area they are only symmetrical passed this speed.

i pay for 100mbps used to get 250mbps few months ago but now it's only 150.

I tested out 5G in my area with my new phone. I have to say, over 800mbit over the air isn’t half bad.
