Well you could get a free copy of AVG and check for malware.
I highly recommend some kind of protection.

I have a copy of an anti-malware program called "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware". It's supposed to be a really good program. I'm running another full scan of my computer.. hopefully it will find something that will fix this problem.

Mkay... so Malwarebytes' Scan didn't show anything.

I have another program, however, called RegCure. This program goes through registry keys and checks for corrupt/missing/problematic items in the registry. So I ran that program, and it found a couple of things:

So the program then cleaned those errors, and I ran the test again just be sure everything was good. It showed the exact same problems. I ran the test like 6 times, cleaned the errors, and still got the same problems the next time I ran the test.

Is it possible that this is related to the other problems I'm having? If so, is there a way to fix this?

Well, I guess I'll never know what was causing that strange problem. I spent the day doing a complete system reformat... :( Not much fun. But it worked! So thanks for your help guys, it all worked out in the end I guess.
