Problem with USB mouse not being detected on Windows boot-up

I have a Razer CopperHead Tempest USB mouse with the latest drivers but when I turn my system on its as if I dont have a mouse connected until I physically unplug it then plug it back in :confused:

I recently did a fresh installation of Windows after installing a new mobo and CPU and have tried solving the problem by installing the drivers from the CD and updated drivers from Razer but it doesnt solve the problem :cry:

Ive never had this kind of problem with a USB mouse before and its really annoying me :mad:

yes i have a razer diamondback and the same exact thing happens to me about 1 out of 5 bootups

If the mouse has drivers, you might want to reinstall them...or just find a thingy that plugs USB devices into PS/2 slots. Could be a legacy USB thingy, too. My microsoft wireless mouse hasn't given me too many issues, all I had to do was plug it in and go.

i have the same mouse and i downloaded the new drivers witch had a new firmware btw for the mouse and if u look on the help files on razor's site you'll find instruction on where and how to do this you will need another mouse plugged in to do this. The notes say this was fixed in the firmware and i haven't had a problem since. Hope that helps :toast:
