Radeon HD 4000 Series in June?

4870x2 - I figured they would :D I migth save for that 2 of those instead of 2 3870x2s.

I forsee the HD5000 series will offer dual-core GPUs, and there will be a 5870x2, also.

Rub it in ATI, rub it in!!

with 480SP (from 320SP) and clock rate of 850MHz (from 777MHz) it should be 2x faster not 50% :wtf:

I thought HD4000 series were dual core gpu or multithreaded chips, somehow. Anyway after all those years of hardware watch, I can say they might be out by Christmas 2008.

There saying that cause the drivers are gonna suck at launch

But bad drivers shouldn't hinder the raw horsepower of the 4870 at all. Just like the 8800GTX at launch. It had it problems but it still beat the 7900 by leaps and bounds. This isn't make much sense.
With a GPU like that a 3870 running COD4 at 1680x1050 with 4xAA/16AF would be around 30FPS-40FPS with a 4870 that should be around 80+ FPS with that GPU!.

Guys I'm so happy...This is the news I've been waiting for, I'll be getting another new video card soon!

My guess it there not trying to say "OUR CARD WILL OWN AND DESTROY WHATS OUT NOW BY 100%!" because they dont want to disapoint anyone incase it doesnt.

From what I hear there are suppose to be samples out already so they would know (if true). This is concerning...very concerning. But we have to wait and see....

All i know is that i got used to my 3870 wayyyy too quickly, so now i want something faster. All i want is a card that can run any game completely maxed with the highest possible aa and af in dx10..... is that so much to ask for? :toast:

I hope to see these around June (not sure how much i trust the information here though)

Lol, that's what everyone wants...Hell, a 8800 Ultra can't run Crysis max...

Well idk about DX10 but my 3850 does everything maxed cept AA lol

It takes such less time for current-gen hardware to become out-dated these days

Sooooooooooo true. I was thinking to myself that the 3870 I have would let me play games at all high for at least a year, maybe 2.
