Fun video to watch....

Why would we care when The following exists?
Seriously? While experiments of this kind are interesting, ultimately, they're useless.

Also, 51C is scary? :kookoo::roll::laugh:

RTX 2080Ti with GTX cooler, no model/logo on a front panel and on backplate, Engineering sample, but specs are exactly the same as normal RTX2080Ti.

Bought in on ebay as GTX 2080 and was surprised when GPUz showed TU102 GPU, nice surprise!

Works normally with usual Geforce drivers, Resizable BAR is not working despite it was switched on in BIOS, cleaning PCI-E slot did not helped, maybe if I will flash it with retail vBIOS it will work.

I like seeing these with the GTX branding, gets a giggle out of me every time.
Be sure to back up the original vbios fully before flashing it with a newer one though.

Not super remarkable but previously unknown: A TU106 Zotac Amp GTX 1650. It's not in the techpowerup database yet, and 3DMark won't even run on it because it gets stuck on the validation stage.

Bizarrely, it supports RTX Video Super Resolution. It is functional, but the performance is awful. I guess the driver just sees the TU106 and assumes it's an RTX card? Raytracing doesn't work as you'd expect, but it's odd that this and RTX Dynamic Vibrance does...

That is an odd ball. Most GTX 1650 I've seen is TU116 or TU117. Mine was a 117.

My 2060 Turing, is TU106.

Maybe try the WHQL drivers?

NV did say that the GTX 1600 cards were cut down Turing GPUs. Maybe this one is a binned literal Turing die?

If you look at the GPUz window in their screenshot you can see they are. So yeah, kinda weird oddball GPU.

They made so many versions of this part number.

Looks like this but a Zotac brand instead?

I think they slapped a GTX16X0 label on all the binned Turing cores of both types just to recover the costs and prevent loss. That's what I would do.

That's what it is- The TU106 1650 has been known about for a while and is (mildly) preferred for it having the turing NVENC instead of Volta (In exchange for needing a 6-pin), but nobody seems to have validated a zotac one before.

Smallest to largest dies

TU117, TU116 and TU106. I don't know all the specs, but the 106 was fairly large die.

I thought all the 1000 series where Volta, but maybe not for the 106 die, honestly, I'm not really sure. Interesting though.

I haven't seen any reference/MBA models of the 9070 series for sale now that its released, so I guess if someone finds one post it in this thread? Actually kinda sad, I liked the way it looked.

After some further testing, the card also seems to support DLSS??? The option can be enabled in Tekken 8 and it does work, just with subpar performance compared to RTX 20 series cards even at Ultra Performance- Tekken 8 at lowest settings 1440P DLSS Ultra Performance gets ~48FPS on it. Strange. Guess some tensor cores weren't cut?

Seems like it. Probably a few bins of bad 2060 TU106 cores parted out for 1650 mining cards. I imagine they've used TU106 for 1660 cards as well.

The TU106 looks like 288 tensor cores and 144 texture mapping units.

Maybe not cut? Firmware locked? (Probably cut, dare to dream lol)

? nvidia 7800 wont work

i bought one of these and tried putting in my dell dimension 2350. my friend said that the shiny metal part on the bottom looks like it has lines because you cut at the lines if it doesnt fit. so i carefully cut off the bottom so that it fit into 1 of the slot things in my computer. now it doesnt work. did i cut it wrong? id post pics, but no camera. is there anyway i can fix this? thanks for any help.

Nice 1st April atmosphere, keep it up people. It's a bit of a relief on these rainy days.
