Recycle Bin Corrupt on 2nd Internal Drive

I'm getting an error saying "The recycle bin on B: is corrupt, do you want to empty the recycle bin?" or something close to that. B Is my second internal drive... and I don't know where the recycle bin would be on it, because it just has a folder with various media I'm storing.


It pops up every now and then when I boot up or when I delete something from any location on my pc.

Any way to fix or disable this?

You need to have the file menu enabled in explorer, click "Tools>Folder Options>View and then uncheck " hide protected operating system files and folders, then on the drive directory you should see a folder named " $RECYCLE.BIN" or something along those lines, not too sure what to do from there, try and delete the folder perhaps, shouldn't do any harm, that is if you can delete it, it might be protected. Ah it's not, I just deleted mine windows should just recreate it when it needs to. hopefully anyway

Glad to hear it, don't be shy use the "Thanks" button could of been some temp files/folders that are created with windows updates and they can now and again promote some funky behaviour

Still getting the error on reboot.

This is very, very annoying. Anybody know how I can get this to stop?

Personally, I would just disable the Recycle Bin altogether. I haven't used/enabled the Recycle Bin in like 8 years or so...

Scan your hard drive for errors. A bad sector might be at fault here.
