I'd think you'd be quite pleased with your upgrade choices, it would be a very good gaming machine.

If its for a gaming rig why get a board with integrated video, get a similar board without and it will probably be cheaper.

What specs are your 939 system? :D I love my old 939's still got two here running strong.

Six core would be about $200, trying to keep it under $350. Will be used for gaming, with a gtx 295.

What parts do you have already ?.

AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz...
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333...
MSI 880GM-E43 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Moth...

And maybe you can use the parts from the 939 system till you have more cash ?. Although ya might want to get a nice PSU depending on if you use that 295 in the 939 system or not..

on AMD, its only the cheap boards that have the onboard video, actually.

if the OP goes 890FX instead of GX, he loses the onboard video but gains more PCI-E lanes - it might be worth getting the higher model chipset for that purpose.

i can highly reccomend the 890FX-UD5, as its what i currently have. very solid board.

I have two also,
1=ASUS A8v-e W/4000 single core.W/GTS250.
2=Gigabyte K8Nsc-939 W/duel core 3500.W/AGP 3850.
Number 1 will be replaced with up grade for my son to play games.:D

I have everything else I need. just MB, CPU Ram will be upgrade.

Nice rig's there dude :) Dual core 3500? you best double check that lol

One of mine is in my sig< the other has a FX-57, 2GB DDR500, with i hope soon a 9600GT.

Ah.. the 939 era..
*sighs*

I remember this was the only time I couldn't leave the PC for too long, as my Opteron 175 (2-core, yay!) out-did my friend's P4.
So.. whilst she was out making a cuppa
and having lunch
..
and desert
..
and a snack
:p
I watched my POVRay assignment being drawn to screen as I waited those tense 2 or so minutes for it to complete.

Now, of course, if my budget would allow it, I'd go Intel, no problem and see the same thing happen in reverse ;)
..
Again :/
