gaming and gui are still main reasons.
 
+1 for the g305! I have two one teal and one white and they have been flawless and the battery last forever …. I’m even using those dollar store battery too
 
I like Elecom EX-G trackballs. Logitech ones are ok too. The Elecom wheel has side to side action so you can scroll left or right, not just up and down. Useful on some websites when they get sizing wrong and there is no scrollbar in frame.
 
have that on logi mice for the past 5 gens, and never needed/used it past day one.

remembered i had a spare for working on customer pc, but the batteries leaked and its done.
to prevent getting stuck with a dead mouse on weekend outside store hours, decided to order a cheap one, just to have another.

thanks for input, and with the spare on the way, have some time so i can look at things and read some reviews...
