RTX 2070 SIGNIFICANTLY Underperforming?? Please help

what's the problem with heaven?
like i said before.
it's a SUPER OLD 32bit Benchmark for far over a decade ago that barely taxes a modern GPU and is by far not reliable to see how fast a GPU is or not.

i don't see the problem with just using a modern benchmark like superposition, 3D Mark or even a modern game to compare a GPU to others.

Just because it's older does NOT mean it's useless as a benchmark. A lot of reviewers still use it because it still taxes modern systems to a serious degree. There's also the point of it being free and DRM free, IE not needing an internet connection to run or render results.

it takes A MINUTE to d/l, install and run, compared to 3d mark mess. for the same time i could use any modern game rather than launching 3DCRAPMARK and waiting forever when it loads trashy demos. one thing i enjoy is superposition benchmark. damn interesting and beautiful compared to firestrike crap.

Yes, Superposition, FTW!

I used unigen with Ryzen Blender for stability testing, and tryst me when I was pumping the values up on the cpu and ram those benches would lock within 2 seconds of starting, I would adjust the vcore or timings and then I would pass every run. I used the blender for wrost case scenario and the cpu hit 75C, never froze and thats on a thinner air cooler at 5G

Can we focus on the OP's performance issues and less on Unigine heaven?

I use it myself really often for its simplicity, but it's like running a 32 bit single core stress tester and only testing 4GB of my system ram - it's great for what it is, but it doesnt test all the parts of a modern GPU (It'd be useless for VRAM overclocking on my 3090, since it'd never come close to touching even half of it) - it cant use tensor cores

It's fantastic as a stability tester and power draw tester, i view it as similar to E-sports titles - heavy on GPU and single threaded CPU performance, but it's not something to use solo.

What i noticed that can be good for benchmarking (testing an GPU OC) is F1 22 ingame benchmark. My gpu oc was passing multiple heaven, superposition and 3dmark time spy but not the F1 22 benchmark. Its relative fast to start the benchmark even if it crashed and if you dont have the game you can find a cracked version on google, buy it if you want to play it :)
