I think the big wait for many is what pops up above the 480's placement, for example lots here have 970 type performance already, for me with a 290X that I am very happy with I see little point in changing anything until I have a choice between an AMD contender with the 1070, things are looking much more promising than they were this time last year though in terms of competition.

Nice for 1080p , you just have to play with MSAA off and you can't play at ultra settings if you want 60fps.

Power consumption is puzzling, to say the least.
More than 1070/1080, and that over single 6 pin, wah?

I was expecting the RX 480 to perform at least as good as AMD's older R9 290, and be sitting in between Nvidia's GTX970 and GTX980...

Disappointing results after the hype, but kind of expected tbh.

Perf is... ok. They seem to have fixed pacing problem and do better than 970 even in games favoring nVidia.

It's power consumption that looks troublesome.

Pretty awesome card , finally you can overclock AMD stock cards xD 1.5% but at last something xDDD

AMD should copy paste HD7990 cooler to all their product, their stock coolers always were p o c.

Performance is ok. Not great, but still good.

Power consumption is hands down disappointing.
Pulling 90w over PCIE is a big deal.

nVidia still has sizeable power efficiency advantage, I'm wondering, how much of that is due to GloFo vs TSMC.

Card apparently needs an 8 pin connector.
Let's see where we get with AIBs.
