Please help!!!
When I run Stalker the sky is blurry and when I stand still it disappears. But when I revert to window mode then it runs fine.
Now is there a way to improve it in full screen mode with overclocking the card or is it my card in general.
System:
Intel Celeron 2.4ghz
1Gb ram
geforce N6200 128mb agp:banghead:

I'm surprised your system can even run stalker. I'm sorry, but STALKER is quite demanding.

You can run the game on a geforce N6200 128mb agp WOW/

Definatley you video card dude.....

Sorry but its a pretty demanding game (and not very optimized yet) and depending on the settings and resolution you are using or want to use, I dont think theres anything more you could do.

I'm surprised you can run it on a 6200, that alone with kill your performance, if you set it to high and up the resolution you'll need another Gig of ram and maybe a faster cpu.

What settings you running it at ???

:pimp:

#if you were to clock the snot out of your CPU and vid card it could alleviate the problem, but overall STALKER is a very poorly optimised game and needs some pretty meaty hardware. Assuming your mobo cant support C2D, you should look into buying a Pentium D and a X1950Pro as a minimum.

Some 6200s can have the extra 4 pipeliens unlocked, so you might want o look around at methods for that... although your 6200 might not be based on the 6600 core, in which case, Ketxxx's idea is best.
Either overclock CPU and RAM, or it's upgrade time unfortunately, as STALKER is quoted as able to run on older hardware, but it doesn't mean it's playable.

being agp, its quite likely thats a socket 478 mobo, so no pentium d

o yea didnt see the AGP bit on the end.. in that case a new build is probably best. If you were to sell your current mobo\cpu\ram\graphics on somewhere like *shudder cough hack* ebay, you could likely buy essentially a whole new system for less than upgrading your current one.

Thanks for advise.S.T.A.L.K.E.R is running @ 800x600 res., static lighting and the advance options is on low. But I'm saving for new system anyway not far to go. I'm surprised myself that it runs on my system. It only begins lagging when the heavy firefights begin then I had to save and restart my pc again and continue. Oja and loading the maps take for round about 7min. LOL?? So I spend more time on loading then playing it. But its still and addictive game. Does someone of you know or has a subtitle tweak for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

yea you need a new comp reminds me of my old one celeron d 2.4ghz 1.5gb ram and a radeon 9550 ran all games but the celeron made most of them unplayable

If you want to get rid of that 7 minute loading time (It takes at least a solid minute on mine, at the best of times actually, so you're not alone on thinking it's too long), there's a mod that cuts time, it stops pre-loading objects, so you can get into the game quicker. I haven't tried it yet (cba to play STALKER at the moment really, heh...) but it can probably help:

It does work well .... I am currently using it with the new Faiakes Mod v2.1.2 ....

It probably reduces loading by like 1/3rd on my system, and thats also with the above mod which adds like nearly 250mb of custom textures and settings.

I was going to install Faiakes mod until I realised that I don't want/need half the stuff that comes included.
I've got the X46 suit, a mod to make important traders have more weapons and ammo (I hate running out of ammo for my MP5, or AK47 in the heat of a battle, and switching to a tiny pistol is not an option at times, heh) and a mod that ups chances of finding rare items on bodies.
I read some comments on this mod though, and I've installed it now.
Some say it reduces slow-down overall, as instead of loading and re-loading every single model and texture whenever going into the game, and switching levels, it loads what's needed and nothing more.
Sounds like it's a real nice performance increase, especially when playing for a few hours at a time.

It pisses me off to when you have your fast firing ak, and then you hear a click and pull out your crappy pistol.

seriously i thought minimum requirements were a 9800/6600... wow
