Sapphire RX 580 Pulse - Adjust Memory Timings - Better Gaming?

I'm checking my bios right now with Red Bios Editor. I just realized my Max Power Limit is set to 155W and my TDP is set to 145W via the bios. Looking at my HWINFO shows that with my current clock settings my Core Power has been reaching 151W and my Chip Power has been reaching 158W while under load.

Does this mean I'm having power limit throttling?

Can I increase both my TDP and Max Power Limit to avoid throttle? If so where's a good starting boost to the numbers?

Yes

Hello.
You have a power limit of course. Producer set up a limit in order to protect the video card from frying.
Yes you could start (on your own risk) to increase the power limit and TDP with 5 W in each step.
I would never (that is me) go over 15% that the producer have set by default.
It is your card so we can only give you an advice.
Good luck mate!

What would be a good starting boost to the wattages on these? Would 200 watts TDP and Max Power be to much?
No only increase by 10 watts for testing

It is risky. Research is Key. I do not have a bios editing capability currently though.

@siryoink care to help this guy?

There are youtube vids relating to this
@eidairaman1 You guys seem to be on the right track. The 580 does have a hard set TDP limit. I haven't messed with one myself, but I believe the Polaris BIOS editor can bump it up for him. He's likely hitting the limit set in BIOS and getting throttled back down.

As you've already recommended to him, I would do this in very small increments. It's a good way to burn out a card.

I bumped it up 185 max power limit and 175 tdp. Also applied the 1625 memory timings to 2000mhz straps and the ones between.

Tried all UberMix timings and all of them caused visual artifacts or a black screen on reboot. Even the lightest one.

Really not seeing any improvement in peformance from any ajustments. May just go back to regular settings.

Are you trying to use this for gaming or for mining?

Yeah im on a r9 290 vapor X lol.

Relax the memory timings at 2000, if you can up beyond 2000, do so

Sorry @eidairaman1, not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean to not use the 1625mhz memory timings and go back to the default 2000mhz timings?
Yes that is correct, use stock 2000 timings, then experiment with 1750 timings.

If you dont mind me asking. Just trying to learn. Whats your thought process behind using 1750 timings instead of the 1625 timings?

Just a stability thing?

Well using 1625 at 2000 was causing trouble so perhaps 1750 at 2000 may work

Yeah use 1750 timings on the 2000 clock and see if youre stable

Gaming performance.
Asking because the ubermix timings are built with the goal of improving your mining hashrate. Real-world gaming gains from this are going to be very minimal. Try something like the 1625 timings at 2050. If you're still not noticing gains, it may be time to try to bump the core clock up.
