Sapphire TriXX beta is up... sadly unless you have a Sapphire 6800 series you can't download it yet.
:banghead: So close but yet so far.....

If someone can figure out how to get a version of this with out having to give sapphire a serial number I would love a copy.... But other wise WTG to all you sapphire 6800 series owners....

It seems that streetfighter 2 found a copy of it somewhere. Thanks streetfighter 2.... but download it at your own risk. I scanned a copy of it with Free AVG 2011 an Malwarebytes and it came up fine for me. But as normal I don't promise anything. "So Download at own Risk" But if you want to download a copy a link is posted below on streetfighter 2's post.

Feeling frisky? (Epic VIRUS WARNING*)
http://idcore.tistory.com/176 (Download link on page.)

I just submitted the file to VirusTotal and it came back 0%. I'd run it in a VM but I'm feeling far too lazy right now.

I wonder if this would let me adjust voltages on my Sapphire HD 5830... Boy that would be awesome!

*I'm not posting this link because I think it's a virus. Quite the contrary I think it might be legit. They have GPU-Z on there and it checks out. The only reason why I gave the warning is because that site just looks shady as hell. :)

That looks clean, and BTW the program (TriXX) is digitally signed by TechPowerUp !?!

Well sir my copy is up and working. I scanned it with Malwarebytes and Free AVG 2011 they both found nothing. So I think we are good guys....But still download at own risk.

Anyway I found something I don't like at all. If you have a multi GPU set up with 6870's or any card for that matter... It will allow you to sync your cards. But if you un-sync the cards you will then have no Idea what clocks the other card is set at anymore.....why??? Because it gives you no option to flip over and see the other card anywhere.

Screen shots.....

That looks clean, and BTW the program (TriXX) is digitally signed by TechPowerUp !?!

i wrote it for sapphire.. it seems they released a test build that really wasnt for the public so i signed it with my key instead of asking sapphire to sign it which adds an extra delay to the whole process

Damn, there're so many programs like this out there. Is it any better than MSI Afterburner? What are the differences?

Well that would explain my extra findings on this one.... (Because of being a beta and all) When enabling Multi GPU Config and then disabling it again....it will make CCC go a little wako in multi GPU config.
If you close Sapphire Trixx and then start the CCC again it will show the second card @ 0% fan speed and 99% load in CCC. The only way to reset that is to restart you PC.

But this release is still a beta.

But regardless nice.... program wizz two thumbs up. I always looked up to people who wrote and coded programs. I never had the non-ADD or concentration to do it myself LOL! :toast:

So let me ask you then Wizz.... is the multi GPU setting the only setting I am seeing for two cards or more? Meaning is there away to see the second card in the GUI?

Honestly It has potential.... the download you get here seems to be a beta. So there might still be some bugs it seems. But it is decent.
As of right now if you are a 6870 owner yes this program is better then MSI AB because you can actually use voltage control.
Once MSI AB has Voltage control for the 6870 you can then do the same things on MSI AB as this program.
Is one better then the other.... well that would all be a matter of preference. But it's kind of nice having a different program to play with rather then just the same usual suspects.

TriXX doesn't work on my 6870 Crossfire.
It'll only work if I disable crossfire...

Unfortunately, this tool cannot change the voltage of my Go!Green 5750. While it detects it as 1.1V and only permits to increase it, the voltage is reset after I try to apply it. It seems that the VT1165 on this card is not exposed. GPUTool, Rivatuner, Afterburner all fail to detect it. Only W1zzard managed to set the voltage on this card. Will you finally share your secret? :respect:

I am getting my second HD 6870 today. I will toy with it a lil and see what happens :)

Are the max clock limited by CCC or can u bypass them with cfx?

Played around with it a bit on a Sapphire 6850. It's a very decent utility and has a little bit more voltage increase than Afterburner but lacks the overall refinement and features. Hard to fault that though since it's a first beta; purely as an overclock utility it's fine.

Don't expect tech-support in this thread.

I've got an odd 6850. It does 945|1150 @ stock voltage but won't do 990 with 1.300 mV.

I think I'm just going to stick with 945.

The tool works perfectly fine with my 6850 and the official 10.10s.

Works on my 5750 , i can get over the CCC limits of 870 like with MSI Afterburner but at least with Trixx i don't have to modify any files in order to work :)

Also, TriXX seems to whack my GPU load to 100%...

If you notice I mentioned this when testing the program. So yes on the second card it will make your GPU load go wako.

But remember this is a version that is still a beta. Also who knows how early this version is considering that it was taken from a website that was not officially aloud to distribute it.

So while it might have some bugs.... it is a good basis to see how the fully done program will act. Probably minus the bugs.

That's weird though.... I was able to control my Xfire with it.

It seems to have worked on my second 6870. When I had problems is when I disabled the "Sync cards in Crossfire" option. Then I tried to re-enable that option in settings. Then the second card would not work after that.
It seems with this beta if you leave that option working from the very begining and don't mess with it... you should do alright.
There is a possibility that ATI CCC is causing problems with Trixx if it running in conjunction with it.
You might want to try to uninstall ATI CCC and that might fix the problems. I have not got a chance to test that out yet.... but it's a suggestion :)

check if turning off ULPS helps with CF

check if turning off ULPS helps with CF

I already set the 0 to 1 in Regedit when I first bought these cards. So maybe if I change it back and disable it... everything will go okay.

I got to go to work but I will report back when I have that info :toast:

One other question Wizz... will sapphire be releasing this as a general download later to other people then just Sapphire owners????

If not will you be releasing it here? I mean you might be held under contract or something so you might not be able too... just thinking that it would be nice to get a full good copy of this bad boy!

gotta ask sapphire that. no i won't be releasing sapphire's software here unless they specifically ask me to do so. this is a commercial software development project for me, not really related to tpu

Sorry I have to thread jack here....

This thread is sort of nostalgic for me personally. The first incarnation of TriXX is what brought me to TPU.

Nice to see it come back, I had a blast with it on my X800GTO;)

Excellent work (again) W1zzard!
