service pack 3 crysis bench scores??

So i was running service pack 2 on my rig for xp. Figured i'd try the beta out. Unfortunately i don't have a screen of my sp2 runs but at 1280x1024 everything on medium with 2x aa i was averaging about 32-35 in the cpu test. in service pack 3 i averaged about 44-45.. can this be??

yeah it could tottaly happen, thats what sp3 is supposed to do, make the OS run faster and smoother and fix the other little bugs.

thanx for the reply, yeah it was just wierd, i wasn't sure what happened at all with the scores, sp2 getting like 30-35 sp3 up to 70 in game at all medium settings 1280x1024

true, i mean the bench is there the 5000 be is obviously making a huge difference in performance as well but i ran it on service pack 2 and hit about 36 max in the cpu bench and this bench shows me 57. and i'll post a gpu bench of all the settings at medium for you in a sec. let me run it.

ok this is the GPU bench at medium settings at 1440x900 i dont support the more square rartios because i have a WS monitor...but non the less i see a 4fps increase fomr my lest benches.

ill run the cpu bench now.

anybody else wanna try the service pack 3 challange to hopefully validate some performance increase in crysis. please run the test on medium at 1280x1024 if possible and aa at 2x.

Please be mindful that whenever you enable AA shaders are set to high by default.

fair enough, i still think it's great being able to play crysis in the mid 60's most of the time at 1280x1024. in mp it's even better in maps with little foliage. the game is by far one of my favorites of the year, almost as cool as the all powerful world of warcraft. lol

been running just fine, most of the updates in sp3 are random bug patches and performance fixs with i think 14 sercurity updates thrown in

wait, will that service pack work for 32 AND 64 bit XP?

to my knowledge it only works with 32bit xp right now, but i'm sure they'll have one for both when the release actually comes
