Show us your collections thread!!

More or less, civilian versions semi autos and neutered to CA legal (no large capacity magazines, removed forward grips and telescoping stocks on the ARs and so on) besides a few Glock and Colt pistols and a Mossberg 500 tactical, all except for the Barrett, although I once saw a vintage sample for sale at a local shop, it was going for more than $14,000, idk how you could register one of those here, as .50BMG rifles are no longer legal in California.

Do you collect guns too?

I think I quoted the wrong post LMAO! Big time figure collector here too, I think I posted my collection in this thread a few years back, it's grown quite a bit since then, but I had to cutback on getting more figures as I ran out of space and the wife didn't like my figures starting to spill into different rooms in our house! I love your dioramas, the level of detail is insane! Never built a Gundam model myself, but I admire the effort and time people put into those models, please share your collection!

Kindda the same with me, no more space for now lol, wife doesn't complain but she neither wants my crap all over the place
Good thing my son doesn't have affinity for figures, statues etc... he only cares that his pc is working and he can play :D

Not my full collection, cuz i putaway a few back in boxes to save space ( Gundam Unicorn Full Armor/ Rg) ( Sinanju Stein / Hg) and i have brand new in box the Gundam Wing Zero/ Rg

What you have there sir, my IT guys @work would refer to as the "Ram it, bam it, slam it damnit" assortment.... they have about 3x that many sticks sitting in a closet at the back of the computer shop, secure in the knowledge that 99% of it will ever be used again, since they routinely upgrade all of our machines, and the last cycle being from DDR2 & 3 machines years ago to DDR4 ones, and they are actively putting together several quote requests for large quantities of DDR5, so that will only add to their collection...

I keep telling them to put the older stuff up on ebay/craigslist ect to help finance & clear out some room for all the newer stuff, but they don't ever seem to have the time, as managing over 500+ production & office rigs keeps them plenty busy :)

As for my collections, well, if I showz ya any of them, then I'd have to.... well you know, hehehe :)

I tend not to sell, as shipping costs eat much of the profit. I tend to let a few go here and there, but usually to close friends in need, or when asked and it's worth the effort, which is rare.

I sold most of my games when i was a teenager and i regret it deeply... this is all i have left ^ I don’t have a proper old TV to play these.

Playstation 1 with Metal Gear Solid 1 ; Final Fantasy VII and IX ; Pandemonium ; Tomb Raider III ; Command and Conquer Red Alert ; Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere.
Playstation 2 with Grand Theft Auto III / Vice City / San Andreas ; Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty / 3: Snake Eater ; Final Fantasy X / XII ; Ace Combat: Distant Thunder / Ace Combat: Squadron Leader / Ace Combat: The Belkan War ; Ratchet and Clank.
:(

Currently checking ANBERNIC RG35XX H or Retroid Pocket 4 Pro to emulate.

I got the same issue with my CD-i player, no old TV with scart...
I still have my CD-i player in box with my CD-i collection.

I collect coins, I haven't done it many years, but I still have my collection in a safe. It's not worth much I expect, but it was a fun little hobby. My Dad did just add a coin to it last week actually, a gold one dollar coin with the name Fillmore on it, the 13th President. My most prized coin is a coin with the Bill of Rights inscribed on it very tiny, given to me by my Grandfather.

I also like to collect rocks/geodes/minerals. I take them out about once a year and have a look at each one, they are quite neat to look at and think about how the Cosmos forms everything.

Lastly, I collect Magic the Gathering cards, well I used to. I have all my old cards from the early 2000's still, I don't collect them anymore and haven't for many many years... but what I do have I like and will keep for life.

No pictures of anything sorry! but my favorite magic card I own from the old days is below.

Neat. I started playing* (8 years old) MTG in 1996 with Mirage and stopped at Onslaught 2002.
Tempest 97 and Stronghold 98 were my fav sets.

Nice. Secret of Mana, probably one of my most favorite games off the SNES. Wish I still had mine, but 99% of my gaming stuff was stolen back then, but that's a different story for a different time.

Got this little circular glass table for $10 on Marketplace for my main headphone amp and DAC. Even has wheels so moving it around is easier - mostly stays in the corner next to the "gaming chair" but if I'm really motivated I can pull it out and plug everything in to sit or lay on the couch while listening, too.

This is what I use regularly, along with the Focal Elegia, not pictured. They don't sound quite as good to me as the DCA Aeon Closed X, but are more comfortable for long sessions, making them my go-to closed backs.

Basically the Koss electrostats are my first choice, but they leak so much sound both out and in that if anyone else is here or if I'm having to run the air conditioner it's a no go. The Sendys are still open but don't leak as bad, so unless my partner is watching TV in the room I'll go with them. The Elegias are for gaming mostly, to avoid mic feedback, or if I want to listen louder while others are here, or if there's a lot of background noise. The G5 and Legend X IEMs are my "serious" portable setup, and I'm awash in smaller, cheaper dongle DAC/amps and lesser IEMs for when carrying $3k worth of gear around seems like a bad idea, or I just don't want to stress.

Seriously thinking about cutting back, maybe trying the Empire Ears Legend Evo or Raven, and if they're as good as I suspect they will be, selling all but a couple pairs of IEMs and the three pairs of full size. Don't know.

PXL_20240228_152702076.MP.jpg

A view of the back. Just two cables needed (or I guess 1 if using Bluetooth for some reason) - power, which goes in to a 3 way IEC splitter for the DAC, amp, and DDC bridge, and USB B to A or C, depending if I'm using a PC or portable source. Of course it will also take digital coax in, there's another USB B on the digital bridge, an external clock input (if you're crazy), AES, optical... We have options.

It's great gear, and I've been through a lot to get to this point. If you want to just go big from the start and not have to worry about it anymore I highly recommend everything on the table. :)

... I just realized how insane it is that my "oh god I guess I have to wear a closed back headphone" last ditch choice originally retailed for $900. Doesn't matter that I paid a third of that for them, what does that say about me? Ick.

"Remember kids, an excellent closed back headphone is as close to a mediocre open back as you can get. Similarly, if you can't run electrostats, at least reach for planar magnetics. It could always be worse - at least they're not dynamics!"

Think it's pretty painfully clear where my biases / preferences are.
