Holy Mackerel, what an awesome collection!:twitch: I wish I'd had the space to store my old stuff, I';d have loved to have kept my 7950 GX2 and HD5970 ... but.....oh well, c'est la vie.:shadedshu: Seeing the HD 5970 and HD5870 sure takes me back, had those two cards in TriFire configured rig back then.

5970 + 5870 tri fire is one of my favorite obscure ways to run those cards. I set them up on my test bench and play BFBC2 in Tri fire about once a year.

Overall shot of my collection, but a really old pic. its actually really hard to get them all out for a single shot like this. it takes hours. collection has grown a lot since this was taken.

Why 9x gtx 9800's?

Think it's pretty painfully clear where my biases / preferences are.

I tend to fancy planar myself. One of these days I may sell all my dynamics in one go and try to experience a proper high end planar. The Hifiman Ananda I reviewed on launch from a review copy Hifiman sent me... omg the female vocals on it were 10/10. Only issue was the headband didn't fit my head right, even on the shortest setting, guess my mom dropped me when I was a kid lol

Why 9x gtx 9800's?
Are you referring to the green xfx cards? Those are GTX260 / GTX280/ GTX285. Need at least 2 or 3 of each for SLi :)

My mistake. :ohwell:

The 200 series had so many skus. 250, 260, 260 core 216, 275, 280, 285, 295.

You could say, "I got con-sku-sed" for a moment.

Took some pics of my XFX cards for a facebook group. thought i would post them here. XFX was always my favorite. I lusted after those 200 series cards bad back in the day, finally saved up enough for a GTX260 c216 in early 2009. I had a reference style XFX GTX275 but sold it, I regret it, bad. The reference ones are super rare.

Wow! You have me beat if you really have over 400 cards! I think my totals are ~84 PCIe cards and ~30 AGP cards. Only a handful dont work.
Nice collection!

@MaexxDessign , Geez Louise, that's a whole lotta cards!!!:eek:

Seeing that Hercules labeled card takes me back, I think I'd upgraded to a Hercules 9800 Pro from a 9700Pro....other brands that've gone the way of the Dodo is Albatron (GeForce FX 6800 GT) and Abit (GeForce FX 5900 OTES, love the design).

You definitely have the more valuable collection.
I guess we can both wallpaper our walls with graphics cards. ;)

You should start a Youtube channel, testing old and new games on those cards, or at least lend them to some youtuber that dose :)
With this amount of graphics cards I could do that once a week for years.
But others can do that better.
I recommend the "PixelPipes" and "philscomputerlab" channels:

Thanks!

It is hard for me to watch certain tech youtubers, especially when it comes to retro/collectible stuff. I tend to get upset if they get even the smallest detail or fact wrong.

Recently aquired a Titan Black and a 2080 super. I have been wanting to complete collection of all 3 2000 series x80 cards for a while now.
I feel like my titan collection is complete for a while as well - I actually have 2x Titan Xp may swap one for a Titan X Pascal but that card seems boring because its basically same as 1080Ti. Titan V and Titan RTX one day...
