As the title says, do you single-click or double-click on your shortcuts to open your apps?

I'm a fan of single-click, the only downside is that often when I click on a message in de list of my mails in Outlook it can open the mail in a window...
Not always but besides that, single-click works best for me.

Yes.

double click to many things can mishappen with single click

er has this thread subject allready been covered

Double... with ME and single, too many accidents opening things i never intended to.
Ah, you're a Mr Fumbly. :p I'm like that with smartphones. It's especially dangerous to leave the phone dialer shortcuts page open as I'll quite likely dial some random person in there. I don't have that problem on the desktop though and find having it work like a web page much better. I've used this feature since it came out in IE4 for Windows 95 back in 1997 and absolutely love it. One of the best Windows features ever.

i didnt know single click was an option lol...tells you how much i root around in windows settings lol

double, it's safer
but with medium

Double tap. More intention behind it, and I need the double tap skillz for ak csgo practice. Little did I realize windows desktop was training me for csgo.

I see that us single clickers are in the great minority. Shame.

I am a single clicker, double clicking is a waste of clicks.

It takes one click to thank you but a double click thanks then removes the thanks :)

Is this what the thread is about?

double-clicker here. yes i love to rape that mouse

Now we talking mouse. Any one remember the good old days before laser mouse came?

Also remember to plug it in before use

I have all my shortcuts arranged categorically as custom toolbars. That way I only have to single click them, without changing my mouse to single instead of double click. It's the best of both worlds if you ask me, and no desktop clutter.

Never. Single-clicking is for... people with more self-control than me.
