I got a pic only warning sometime in the past 12 months. Completely spaced putting text to go with the pic while I was looking through multiple pages/sites and ended up just posting a pic - got warned and my post removed.

I've noticed people posting pics only, recently, and not having the posts pulled. Not sure if it changed, but I can understand why you don't just want people posting pictures without any kind of context with them.

I deleted a link only post just this morning. Random occurrences may slip thru but repeat violations tend to get noticed.

So, in short, no, pics only (except in pic specific threads) should be avoided.

So when I did it awhile ago I got points for it so that I was unable to post for months, now when others doing it, it seems to be OK and allowed, one pic post even got a like from a moderator....

Posting an image in response to another post, or an image that is relevant to the topic, is allowed. There has never been an outright ban on all picture only posts. Don't act salty because you're shit posts got taken down.

What do you expect? It’s an online forum with thousands of users and a handful of moderators. It’s not like I get a ticket every time I jay-walk or make a rolling stop. The rules can never be perfectly enforced. Better to spend your time pursuing criminal justice reform or similar than being a martyr over shit posts.

The moderation team are not all seeing.
Sometimes things slip through.
Report the problem and do not violate the rules by making a public drama.
The guidelines/rules state:

If you disagree with moderator actions contact them via PM, if you can't solve the issue with the moderator in question contact a super moderator.
Under no circumstances should you start public drama.

The guidelines/rules state:

Posting only a picture/meme without relevant topical comment, especially as bait or to dismiss another member's opinion.

A pretty simple guideline.

And, the guidelines/rules, also, state:

Do not expect because you have reported a topic or complained that a change will immediately take effect or that we are going to respond in the way you would prefer. The moderation team at TPU reviews requests as a team and takes action based on what we feel is best for TPU which may not align with what you seek.

Report it and we will get to it.
