Thanks for the help, I got what I needed to get it up and running.
I am looking for a reasonably priced socket 1366 board that will run my i7 920.

Let me know what you got as far as GPU, ram and cases. I am looking to complete a few builds that I have parts for laying around.
I am located in Ohio ,43055. Let me know what you got and price shipped or if local I would be willing to meet up .

Got a Gigabyte GTX970 laying around

I'll recommend against that, I purchased the one that seller sold in that thread and it wouldn't boot with i7, Xeon, DDR3 ECC, non-ECC, buffered, unbuffered, etc. The seller was however very cool about providing a refund, but was slow to respond to PM's, slow to ship, didn't ship the MB in an anti-static bag, and back near Thanksgiving was going through some life issues and was in the middle of relocating and such. I'd steer clear on this one. Plus those boards were never public release so there's next to no information about or available for them, no drivers, no BIOS, no manual, and very little on random tech forums, even fewer running builds within the last several years. I'd keep looking for something else.

In the VGA department, I believe I have a spare GTX 660 from an old SB build that's currently collecting dust, and maybe a GTX 770 2GB Windforce3OC (it's 50/50 if I can sell it yet) I could part with if you were interested.

Thank you very much for posting info about that board. I just saw the cheap price and that was it. I'm glad you posted more details about your experience and the board. I would have felt terrible if another person had to deal with what you did.

Thanks guys, sorry haven't been active lately been busy with work, kids and car and computer projects. I picked up some stuff off Craigslist and from a buddy. I got the last 2 components coming tomorrow from eBay (solid state and micron ddr3). Thanks for the offers guys. I havent been around in years and it's nice to see this forum hasn't died and people are still helpful.
