Hi! I recently built a VR room and got a RX570 for the rig in that room. Now I have dealt with overscan before but the last time I used AMD was the Hawaii launch and I never had the problem. Dealing with overscan for me
With AMD dates back to the mid 2000s.

With that said I’m running the new adrenaline drivers and found HDMI scaling under display. I changed the % and it looks great! I saved a custom profile, however here is where I have the issue.

The settings do NOT apply on startup. I have to manually enter the AMD CP and apply the profile.

Does anyone have any tips?

Assume all of your other settings apply at startup. Are you sure its loading the custom profile? I had some faintly similar problem with OC settings a while back

Presumably, it looks right when the scaling is set to 100%?

Anyway, I don't have a specific fix for you, but perhaps uninstall the graphics driver, then do a driver wipe (DDU is it?) reinstall it and see if the problem has cleared.

Also, are you running the latest W10 patch 1809 and all patches after it? If not, it wouldn't surprise me if this is tripping it up.

What of you are not setting a particularly profile, just set it up and apply. Next restart should be fine. (I guess untill you use the same display.)
Well i did hdmi scaling and it was saved for me. But sometime if i plug it to another display then back to first one sometimes it forget it.

Idk to be honest. This is a fresh format
Installed drivers. Nothing fancy on this pc at all.

I made a profile and set the scaling and hit save and it applied. That’s pretty much the extend of my knowledge with these drivers.

I’ve mad no other modifications I’m only in it for HDMI scaling. But I’m unfamiliar with the adrenaline series drivers.

This is a known bug in recent AMD drivers ("HDMI Underscan settings may not retain after system restart").

You'll have to use older drivers, wait for a fix, or exchange the card for GTX 1060.

Damn thanks

I’m not going to buy a new card, I may swap to an older driver but otherwise it’s performing fine so I might just deal with it until it’s patched

This issue isn't listed in Adrenalin 2019 Edition 18.12.x series. You may want to try those. If you face other bugs, try 18.3.4.

Use both AMD Cleanup Utility and DDU to remove drivers' traces.

As far as I'm concered, when a product isn't working as intended 2 years after launch, it deserves to be nuked.

Bugs related to basic functionality must be treated as soon as possible. Bug fixes > new features.

HDMI Scaling is broken in the last two driver release. It's already listed on AMD/Radeon group to fix as I also have the same problem. You have to install December driver until their fix it.

It's broken in win7 64bit, but not sure if it affects Win10.

I solved this issue by making sure I was plugged into the "PC" port of my TV as the TV itself overscans most content.

It has only been broken the past 2 driver releases and now fixed, hardly 2 years pal. I mean I'm pretty positive if I cared enough I could look at the past 12 months of Nvidia driver releases and also find bugs that cropped up with the 10 series that were subsequently fixed in a later revision, it's what happens with software development and not just specific to AMD.

Also confirmed working for me on the latest 19.2.1 drivers.
