Does any one has violated any rule?

Considering we've already got one person using the term "liberal" as a pejorative, another making a disparaging reference to the "religion of peace", and a third who seems to entirely lack self-awareness regarding the evolution of societal norms, things can only go downhill from here.

If it has to be closed i am sure a Mod will do his/her job if it is still open there should be a reason.

To all those brazenly describing how they are gonna thwart an IP ban, I've got the solution to make sure you stay banned and it's a really easy one: ban all 4 billion IPv4 addresses. There, simple! :rockout:

Right, I'm gonna bill W1z for my consultancy fees now.

If you spend all your days ranting about topics unrelated to the forum's main topic (computers and technology) maybe you need to either re-evaluate what you do with your life or go to a different forum. People that troll the forum because you are upset about issues unrelated to the main forum topic really should be removed because they are not contributing in a quality manner. If I ran a business and I had people entering my business and causing a disturbance, I would first politely ask them to stop, and if that fails, forcibly remove them from the premises. Running a web based business is no different.

I enjoy these threads. Its always like the same 5 people complaining that mods are too heavy handed, and none of them seem to understand. Its almost like they dont get the atmosphere of TPU at all. oh if you only remembered your predecessors before they were banned and how much less slack you got for being a prat, god I miss the screaming.

Anywho thanks for not polluting the forums with political garbage and keeping this websites vision intact mods.

IP ban:laugh: ridiculous.

ikr? What is this, the 90s?

Does any one has violated any rule?

Prettty confident that has happened, yeah.

A better question would be how many have actually read the rules...

Pfff, rules? Feelings matter the most.

In social settings considering feelings WILL get you farther than not. Forums count.

I hate to quote reddit but... "remember the human."

Haha ikr i didnt get my fix yet, gddr5x is too much to compute atm

Possibly from some members that feel strongly about it but is that not what you want? I thought the whole point of this thread was that some of you want the opportunity to have open honest conversations without threads being closed, it's not regressive if other members are saying it, as for me, as I said earlier, if posts and comments stay within the guidelines then it's good, however in relation to the link you exampled, if they show any form of nudity or are a deliberate attempt at marginalising women (or anyone else) then that's a different thing, you are trying to state an argument for having choice and opinions..... that's good but if choice and opinions occasionally cause offence then that's where we have to look at it in a wider perspective.

In any case, your example has already been superseded to some degree worldwide, the use of some groups (such as females) used for promotional reasons for many sports has changed since 2009, may sports have stopped doing it, the thing is many would find that progressive, not regressive.

Where I personally have an issue is where some members deliberately want to cause offence, that then moves from opinion to motive and IMO can only be bad in a community.
You're joking right? I go to about 5 trade shows a year. If anything the hot chicks pushing hardware has increased. We use them all the time in the companies I work for. He'll we hired a Russia girl just because I found out one of my clients like Russians. Sex sell WAY better than virtue signals.

Simple rule to not getting threads locked.

DON'T. BE. A. DICK.

What about that simple rule don't people get? And if you pop in with "I didn't see that in the rules!" you're part of the problem.

Seems you too are struggling my man, I said "to some degree" and went on to example sport, if you go to the next US Grand Prix you will see the difference, it has only been adopted recently but it is a trend moving in a direction, I am not suggesting I am for or against it just merely mentioning it, Formula 1 on it's own gets something like 600 million viewers each season.

And on that happy note I will close this thread, contrary to the thread title, the point has been made and noted and it is already moving to off topic land, I would only reiterate what I have said earlier and that is that providing things stay within the guidelines which I would encourage anyone who has not looked at them in the last 3 or so months revisits as there were some significant updates made then threads "should" be good.
