Hi guys, nothing exciting to see here. Just trying to put the cheapest computer together for browsing the web for a friend.
He already has a case, DVD writer, Windows 7 and SD card reader from an old build so I'm going with these bits. Literally no preferences as far as AMD/Intel goes. I'm perfectly happy to go with the below, but just wanted to see if anyone knew anywhere I could make some savings/performance gains without affecting the price too much
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
CPU: Intel Celeron G1840 2.8GHz Dual-Core Processor (£33.59 @ Novatech)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£33.99 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£14.00 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£34.98 @ Novatech)
Power Supply: Corsair CSM 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (£42.66 @ Amazon UK)
Wireless Network Adapter: Asus PCE-N10 PCI-Express x1 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter (£9.99 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £169.21
