Is there such a thing as a bolt-mounting kit so you can bolt-mount a heatsink such as the AC Freezer 7 instead of using the pushpins?

Yes, its a plastic bracket that fits UNDER the mainboard... with 4 threaded sockets for screws to mount into. However, I dont know it Artic do this. Maybe they do. If not, try one from Zalman. Obviously, its for s775, so the holes will be in the same place.

Depends on the cooler... as far as i know Intel AC cooler uses push pins only.
my Asus Silent Knight bolts on either intel boards or AMD booards. I think Zalmans do also.

you seem to be looking for the hardware to most water blocks!

backplate
4X allthread
8X nuts
8X plastic washers
4X springs if needed for spacing
you get the idea....!

Nope, not looking into watercooling. I'm not looking to buy anything at all actually, just wondering if there was a way to bolt a cooler that uses push-pins.

I didnt mean you needed to go to water...you needed to look into water block mounting...it has all the parts you are looking for!!!!!

Hmm it looks like it could be done by just removing the push pins and sticking bolts through those holes. Just need some washers to prevent the nuts/bolts from damaging the board.

go to Danger Den and watch the video on how to install the TDX water block I think you will get my meaning. Bet the kit can be had right cheap too.

something like this...http://www.dangerden.com/store/product.php?productid=108&cat=40&page=1

or spend about the same in a local hardware store!

Link to the video...http://www.dangerden.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=55&Itemid=42
Tick AMD or Intel and watch!

Great idea here. I loved my AC pro, but I hated the damn pushpins. I should have thought of this.

Hm... where could I find the stuff they used in that video (the posts, nuts, springs... etc)

any e-tailer/retailer that sells W/C gear should have mount kits

or you can try your local hardware/hobby store as suggested

Home depot? Staples?

the issue with HD and the box stores is you have to buy a package of hardware,,,your local in town "true Value" type hardware , you can buy only what you need!

Does anyone know how to get your homepage to stop opening up to asecureforum?

Sounds like a browser hijack to me. And this is a thread hijack--go make your own. You'll most likely get lots more views than this old thing.

A: yes I do ...you change the homepage in your internet options.

B: this is deffinately not the thread to ask it in.

I love you in a non-homosexual manner. Think it could work for AMD?

I'm not sure...you'd have to check that the hole spacings were correct, which I don't think they are...

It is possible however, that the screws would screw into an existing backplate you have on your board.

OTT: Who is that girl in your avatar? lol
