Even the bottom normal post reply was dead.

It is blocking the XMLHttpRequest when you try to reply. The page load is not blocked.

made an update to the firewall rules for the text search in our databases, it should be less strict now and not as quickly lead to failures/ip bans

Also, does the client app really have to be that nervous and send a new query after each keypress, with zero delay? Or am I just old and stuck in the era of HTML 4?

You want results quickly, so yes. HTTP requests are very cheap nowadays, so it's not an issue, unless someone chooses to intentionally overload that endpoint

Sure. It's the database queries that are potentially expensive, not the small amount of network traffic.
 
And here i was thinking w1zz was entering the replies manually by typing really fast, when i had 50 tabs open comparing RX580 bioses

TPU has been quite smooth here the last few days, other than the occasional slow image loading - but i can never tell if thats TPU, my connection, or externally hosted images

Edit:
Facebook for example, everything loads great except the comments which can spinning circle of doom at me for 10 seconds at a time, then load instantly. This might be one of those things where those distributed servers (akamai, or whoever) have issues in some regions.

Pages loading super slow for me with or without pics. On android, other sites opening fine.

Is this temporary or has it been going on for a few days now? Which phone/android version?
 
Only really noticed today. Pixel 5, up to date with software.

Every time I press for a new page, or main menu item, it takes about 2-3 seconds to do anything. So, not so much slow-loading, as it just sort of hangs for a few moments. Maybe a side effect of the recent change? I tried the TPU photo forum and after the obligatory 2.5 second hang, it loaded, and the pics were all there without waiting. But it does it with text only pages too.
 
Where are all Jensen Huang gifs?
I only see one left....

Donanimhaber's slogan is frequently down news site for a long time but it was years ago man c'mon.
 
For some reason our cluster nodes stopped seeing each other, while I was doing some work. Very strange.. back up again
